bull... do any of you know what your talking about... the bible states that their will be a bloody war...... and second it also states that what can be created by god can also be un created, so shy would he put "good christans" in harms way??? and also... the arc angel michael is the genral of "gods army" ( the one not on this earth) .. but still.... why does god need an army, and dony say to fight lucifer, because that is bull, if he is truely what he says he is than he would just un create what he created....

its funny...... the questions you cant answer you see as an insult..... and when did i ever say i have made up my mind about anytihng?? but serously... look through all of the answers and you dont see a single actual answer that makes any sence at all..... do not answer my question unless you actuaclly have a GOOD ansewr... not that their spreading the word of god... because that is bull, he would just use angles ( you know as the human form as saints) to spread the word so that doesn't make sence... so why does god need an army.......

Its kinda sad, tis why i am not Chrisitan

I follow a peaceful more spiritual religion :)
Where you dont have to fight in the name of your deity or anything. In fact, we dont want tofight at all! We like to keep the peace and talk about our problems instead of seeing whos Mr Winky is bigger and going into a holy war.

*sigh*

I am really surprised to see how many people don't know about God's Army. God's Army is reference to those people who carry the Word of God to others, Also reffered to in the Bible as Fishers Of Men, etc. This is not an army in the sense of armies which you see fighting wars, etc. The term God's Army has been used alot in the wars of today, but bear no alliance with the army you are asking about. It is sad that war always seems to be about religion. It is as if there isn't enough of God to go around for some people...or others are so afraid of God they get offended by believers. By the way, God did create an army...he just gave man free choice, so some joined and others didn't....

I agree with you. Its a whole lot of Hoo Hah this god ****.

I mean if there was a god you know whats happening in the middle east would not happen. Sad fact is that people do it all in the name of some gods promised lands. I stopped bvelieving in god at 7 and have never once had any regret.

Mike, have you stopped to consider God didn't create the war, man did. And it seems that one man who is worshipped by some of those people told them to go out and kill....the false gods that are being worshipped are the ones who teach that killing is good. God doesn't teach that. You couldn't read a Bible when you were seven...why don't you try it now and maybe you'll have a greater understanding of why this is happening and how. By the way, thank you for saying god and not God. They are definitely two different terms and you used them quite appropriately in your post.

What are you referring to?

God gave humanity dominion over the earth (Genesis 1). His expectation was for people to care for the planet and live the perfect life he intended. Had this happened then God would just have enjoyed being with people while they stewarded the earth. But things went wrong, sin entered creation (Gen 3) and everything went pear-shaped.
Now God wanted things to happen which were not the will of sinful humanity. God could have taken back the world but he made his promise in Gen 1 and does not go back on it. So, he needs to use human activity to achieve his purpose of restoring creation to perfection.
He does this by either responding to human activity eg wars, or by delegating tasks to people eg sometimes as an army.
God usually achieves his purpose through the action of people, some willingly and others against their will or without their knowledge.
Sometimes God does intervene. The most significant example is by becoming human in the person of Jesus and dying for us.
Summary:
God needs armies because he usually chooses to work through human agency rather than by divine intervention.

Good question - How can a God make friends with His creations? Check out my site:

God did not create an army - when Satan sinned and left God's presence - the other angels are there - they act only as an army if God ask them too.

To give the army they were up against a chance to repent, run, or whatever it is they needed to do. God loves people, and it wasn't a matter of him needing an army, but an army was the best method to give them a chance to change their minds before casting harm on everyone. If you knew God, you wouldn't have to ask that question.

God created the angels to share heaven with. he then created man, his finest creation. he then gave every living thing an Angel. God's army is only "God's army "by allegiance. He didn't create them saying OK you're a private, you're a lt., or so on. For instance take your family. if somebody picks a fight with your dad you and your siblings (if you have any) are gonna stick up for him and protect him. you're not your dads army but you do have an allegiance to him. God needs nobody or nothing to protect himself. You also have to remember that God GAVE Satan free reign over the earth.

God loves us so much that he gave us the choice of following Him or choose our own paths...He technically does not need an army because He is all and powerful, but because He allows us to choose Him, He needs an "army" to help spread His words and teachings...but this "army" of His also were His friends and what not...

before answering this question. I had a small doubt that at any time god had made war towards you.
If we see him as a friend he would be certainly a good friend for us.
else if we see him as a warrior he looks like that .
he dont need any army because he only creats the battle field for us and fight for us .
