In my household when I was a kid my mom would only buy "wholesome" cereals like Raisin Bran, Plain Cheerios, Wheat Chex etc. No "sugar" cereal. I used to get so excited to go to my friends house! They got to have Cookie Crisp, Lucky Charms, Cocoa Puffs and all that yummy stuff. Which type of household did you grow up in? What was your all time favorite "sugar" cereal?

I think I grew up in your household! ;0)
My parents bought plain everything---cheerios, rice crispies, raisin bran, cornflakes, wheat chex, rice chex...plain oatmeal, wheat bread for toast. I ended up adding a little sugar to my cereal...and cinnamon sugar on my oatmeal and toast.
My favorite sugary cereal growing up was Cap 'N Crunch (the peanut butter kind), cinnamon life, lucky charms and Frosted Flakes. Every now and then I'd sneak a box into our cart when we went grocery shopping. ☺

My dad insisted that we only eat Wheat, Rice or Corn Chex. Sometimes Shredded Wheat or Rice Krispies. When he would leave for a trip that would last more than two days, my mom would buy us Lucky Charms, which was her favorite! It was our little secret! I actually LOVE Corn Pops!
