Except their Biblical claim that God gave them that piece of land.
Actually, they took it by force from the Caananites,Hittites. They were not originted there. What if--the native Americans claim their land from you--which they can do much more reasonably. Why you American Whites don't move from where you came(Europe)?

I don't care if you call me anti-semitic. but what claim do they have for that piece of land except the Biblical ones? After the 2nd world war their enemies were defeated already. Why they didn't stay in Europe? Or why you didn't gave them a piece of land in Europe?

The legitimacy of Israel lies in it's formal cessation from Great Britain in 1948. That's what makes a country legitimate in modern times: A formal, internationally recognized founding. Just because so and so wants the land or claims the land does not mean you have a country: A government that has internationally recognized sovereignty does. With the exception of a few Muslim nations, Israel has this. A seat in the UN doesn't hurt, either.

How exactly does any ethnicity claim a right to any piece of land? "Your land" is the land your ancestors conquered from whoever lived there first. No nation/ethnicity just "originates" out of the thin air. People of Jewish faith were living in the modern territory of Israel for centuries until they were conquered by the Romans and others. Do other peoples who at one point or another lived in the same territory (Palestinians, for example) have a legitimate claim to this land? Absolutely. However, people who were born in Israel and those who fought and worked to make it a country consider it their home and don't give a rat's *** about the legitimacy of it, just like American "whites" don't particularly care for Indian claims for the historical ownership of the land they live on. European Jews were being wiped out in Europe for centuries and were fortunate enough to find a place to call home again. American Indians weren't so lucky.

i agree, Israel is currently doing to the native Palestianians and Lebanese what the Colonists of America did 400 years ago. They are taking the land by whatever means necessary.
I think it's awful. The jewish people could just go back to their original homes that they had before WW2. But instead, they use religion to justify what they are doing to the Palestinians, who have been living there for THOUSANDs of years.
Of course, it's hypocritical of Americans to say that what Israel is doing is wrong, because our ancestors did the same thing to the Native Americans.
So really, that has to be the only reason why the USA funds Israel in their ethnic cleansing and taking over of Palestine.

their claim is three fold.
first the British captured the land from the Ottoman empire in war just like most land exchanges are done in history.
the British who owned the land gave it over to the Jewish agency for the purpose of creating a Jewish state. who also gave land to create an Arab state (Trans-Jordan)
second is the purchase of individual parcels of land by the Jewish agency from 1850.
third is the Independence war. When the state of Israel was ratified by the UN half a dozen Arab nations declared war on Israel and lost. By this right they won their Independence from any claim that the Arabs had over the land.
Just as the United States removed any claim of the British to the 13 colony's during the American Revolution.
Israel is just as legitimate as the United States in its existence

What is the legitimacy of any government? There were enough people, money, or force to support it, but not enough to oppose it, so there it is... By the way, quite a few early Israeli statesmen (most notably, Menahem Begin) started out as terrorists. (Begin, in particular, participated in bombing the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, which housed British headquarters in Palestine.)
Same goes for other Middle Eastern governments. Prior to World War I, most of Arabia was ruled by the Hashemite family. During World War I, the house of Saud was fighting against the Turks, which made it a de-facto ally to the Triple Entente, so after the war the British gave them what is now called Saudi Arabia. Hashemites were pushed out into Jordan, which they still rule...

Anthropologists (and now geneticists) believe (based on strong scientific evidence) that humans first evolved in East Africa and eventually began a migration that went all over the world. Thus it appears that no group of people "originated" anywhere except possibly East Africa. I did a lot of study on the history of the Holy Lands trying to sort all of this out - what a confusing mess! My advice to you is to forget that line of argument. The best thing is to just accept things as they exist and try to move forward in a way that minimizes human suffering and that may mean accepting certain political realities as they exist today. Forget trying to sort out ancient claims to the land by one group or the other.

Where was Palestine when the Jews were wandering through Egypt?
They didn't exist.
As a democracy, Israel has more of a right to exist than Syria, Iran and Palestine (wherever THAT is) combined.
And you should be ashamed of yourself for asking such a question.

there is absolutely no legitimacy! they are not even Semites! they are descendants of Ashkenaz who was a son of Gomer whose father was Japheth, the older brother of Shem. Shem is the forefather of Abraham and Jacob the father of the twelve tribes. furthermore there does not exist a prophecy stating Israel would be reestablished before Jesus returned and moreover, Jesus said that those who claim to be Jew are not. Ashkenazi Jews are from Europe and have no right to Palestinian lands.
