still there in india. How do i get her here as soon as possible. Some people advised me to apply for Canadian Immigration for myself and hers, and that way i can get her atleast to canada in 1 1/2 yrs. Is this good ? Any other advice ? Thanks.

I apologize for the idiots insulting you in their answers. They are stupid.
As for the Canadian thing, I'm not sure that would be any faster than applying for residency for her in the US. It does take a long time, no doubt about it, but it also takes a while to go through Canadian immigration. It is currently easier to immigrate to Canada because there are jobs available there, but you already have permanent residency to the US, so that is not an issue. It is now just a matter of time.

Terrible advice on the Canada thing. As a lawful permanent resident (LPR) your spouse may apply for an Immigrant visa (F2A) with your help. I don't know how long this takes as that varies by each case.
Check out the site below. They also have a wait time search based on consolate location.

That's wrong advice, you don't need to go through all that hassle. I would advise you talk to an immigration lawyer, but basically as your wife, they will be able to apply for her greencard as your wife and that should just be a matter of months before she gets something to temporarily allow her stay here until the main greencard arrives....Here's the link to a lawyer's site I know:
