if you are as tender hearted as I am here is the easiest way for you to do it...... put the crib in your room, close to your bed and put the baby to bed and lay down where she can see you, sing or talk to her softly to let her know you are there..... then when she falls alseep go do your thing...... every nite push the crib farther away from the bed...... even out into the hall or what ever...... during this time do NOT pick her up when she cries.... sorry, but if ya want it to work ya gotta be a little strong !!! eventualy the crib will be in the other room and good nite sleeps will be had by all............ God bless

It is a hard thing. You need to put her in the crib and then let her cry it out for a bit. Go in at about 10 minute intervals the first night and calm her but don't pick her up. Add 3 or 5 minutes for each night after that. Before you know it she will be sleeping in her crib.

this will take some work, but first try letting her go to sleep with you. After she is asleep, pick her up and move her to the crib. If she is used to a TV or Stereo, have that playing in the room with the crib before putting her in there. This way, she will be comfortable enough to go to sleep, and then she can get used to sleeping n the crib as well, after a few weeks, she will get to where she will go to sleep in the crib and not have to start in the bed with you. But you better get her used to it now, the older they get the harder it will be to break them. It may take a few weeks, but just keep at it...

Might take a few nights of fussing. Feed her, rock her a little, make sure she is clean, burped and been up long enough to be sleepy again(which shouldn't take long with a 4 month old). Warm bath helps. Then put her to bed, pat her fanny or rub her tummy for a minute, then kiss goodnight. Don't know if you use a pacifier or not but now might be a good time. My son did not use one but every child is different. If she wakes up let her fuss for a little. She will probably go back to sleep. You will learn by trial and error. Just do what feels natural to you. Instincts go a long way but little hints from other moms help. Good luck. m

I agree with the first answer. Just put her in the crib and leave her there. Sure its going to be stressful some nights but shell get used to it. Im asuming that when she was born you had her sleep with you to. Thats not good! If you put her in the crib your not doing her any harm. It's going to be natural for her to cry

Keep her crib near your bed and don't put her down until she is too tired to fuss.

they learn quickly. You have to keep her there and touch her and rub her til she falls asleep. try the crib in your room if it takes awhile. But not in bed.

Try putting one of your shirts in the crib with her, either under her,or let her hug it.If she smells your scent she will know you are close and feel safe.I know, sounds strange, but it worked for my son when he was very small.Good luck God bless:O)
