We have lots of stray cats in our neighborhood. And every night couple of them come to do their "needs" in our small garden. I really don't know what to do to prevent them from jumping the high fence we have and use our garden for their needs. please help, the smell they leave is intolerable!

Orange peels keep my cats off my indoor plants. They hate the citrus smell. You can squirt the juice from the oranges around the garden and grate the orange peel. That might keep them away without hurting your garden.

Get a small animal trap. They cost about $35 at the local home center. You could also probably rent one. Set the trap in the evening, bait it, and then call your local humane department in the morning. Repeat this process as necessary and eventually you will trap all of the cats or the rest of them will get the idea after you make an example out of the first.

There is stuff call B GONE or something like that, they have a gel form that you can put in your garden that is safe for plants but will keep the animals away, check your local set store!

You could get squirell deterent as well it works on all mammals. Cats like to sniff around if it gets on their nose they will go away poor things. If you trap them do it humanely i like the idea of taking them to the humane society not only will they be out of your way the humane society will spay and neuter them. Or you could get a dog.....
