A lot of people are because he had affairs and the Bay of Pigs. The Bay of Pigs mainly wasn't his fault--from reading "An Unfinished Life" Jack had a gut feeling that it wasn't right to attack Cuba. He consulted many people, even past President Eisenhower! JFK made the decision from other people, and they were wrong.
JFK with women--he had money, good looks, and connections to Hollywood from his father--Jackie wasn't interested in sex that much. His father TAUGHT him to treat women this way, and seeing how sucessful Joseph Sr. was, his boys followed him.

He was honored then and he is still honored to this day. He was the People's President for a reason. America loved him and I believe he could have accomplished great things for our country if his life had not been cut short.

He was just a man. He never really had a chance to prove himself as a world leader, but because of his youth, the small children that he left behind, and the fairy-tale feel of his presidency, he has become American national legend and a national hero. Nobody ever talks about the fact that he cheated on his wife or was addicted to painkillers.

I remember the day he was killed. It was night time in South Africa and we were listening to the radio in front of a fire in the living room.My Dad was a canny man. After a while he said "What a sad day for them. They killed their own president."I did not understand what he meant until much later when all the facts came to light.

i'm not against kennedy, it's just a shame that he was assassinated, and then his brother was assassinated as well.
however, there is speculation that jfk was involved with the mob, which was possibly how he got into office. there is also speculation as to the mob being behind his assassination.
