Do you think you can be freed from the sin?

once a person is born again (confesses that jesus is lord, and believed that God raised him from the dead/ Romans 10:9), he is part of God's children. in the word of God, anyone who has God's spirit is cleanse from all sin. in front of God, you are good as new and you don't have to condemn yourself. but God knows that our body is corrupt even though if you are his children. the consequence of sins for a believer or born again individual is that in that moment, he lost fellowship with Him.

in order to regain that, all you do is ask "pardon" to him. it's very simple. but for those who haven't believe, they are lost. they are slaves for sin until they convert to God.

Yes God hates sin
Yes God love me / you / whomever
We are at the same time sinners and saints. As such we citizens of two Kingdoms.
God's Kingdom and this kingdom (the world). As local citizens in this world we are not "free" from temptation nor sin. We are promised via God's Kingdom (via Jesus) that we can be forgiven our sins, we simply need to ask and make a U-turn (repentance).
Doesn't relieve us of consequences of our sin (such as DUI, injury, jail time etc) but before God the sin is no longer in the way of our relationship.

I have found the most effective way to reduce the stress of temptation is to not do those few things or go to those few places that tend to "tempt" me beyond my ability to say "No" to myself. Sort of the same way a person that wants to stay on the wagon stays way from bars, taverns etc. There are still plenty of places to have fun.

Hope that helps
