Fixing him will not stop it. Cats can be weird. I have 5 cats, 4 females and 1 male, all fixed. They were fine in my small house, always used the litter box, but once we moved to a big new house, they started spraying (the females actually, the male doesn't do it). I finally had to move the females into the basement where they now live, and I go down and clean regularly. I got tired of having my house smell like a litter box:-( I love my cats, and would never get rid of them and this was the only solution I could come up with. We've been here over 2 years now and they still do it, though they also use the litter box. I don't know if they are marking territory. I dont' know of any way to stop it, I've tried it all unfortunately. Its gross:-(

You should get the cat fixed. If that doesnt work, the only thing I can tell you is that the cat is probably doing that because it feels threatened of it's territory. Marking it's spots (just be happy the cat doesn't want to claim you as it's own)

Ya it's because of the dog...the cat's marking his territory. The only way is to get him neutered...and even then he may still spray.
Good Luck

Get him fixed. You can't get him to stop, it's a natural part of who he is. Get him fixed and at least nothing will come out.

he is marking his territory. he thinks the dog is trying to take over his territory and if you get him fixed, he wont be so interested in marking anything... like everyone else, get him fixed.
