I was able to get it from fishermen in Pensacola Fl. when I worked at a marina, but now that I'm in NC, I no longer have access to them. I've looked a little bit online with no success.

are you sure you dont mean dolphin fish as in Mahi Mahi?

It's a fish from the Gulf of Mexico and probably doesn't get caught much up the Atlantic coast. Were I you, I'd go to the owner of a local fish market and ask if he could try getting it for you from one of his wholesalers. They'd toss one or two on the plane with the rest of the cargo and he'd have it in a day or 2.

That's a great fish. I live in Pensacola and this is one of the fish we eat a lot. I don't know how you can get it there, but I wish you luck.

If you mean mahi mahi (dolphin fish, not a dolphin) I actually saw it in Wal-Mart! They have a fish case at the one near me.
