I know a soldier who is in Iraq and I can't find a way to contact him besides mailing letters that take forever to recieve. Can someone help me figure out a quicker and easier way to communicate with him, please.

All soldiers are given AKO (Army knowledge online) accounts in which their e-mail is usually their name @us.army.mil in this order:

firstname.lastname@us.army.mil

Try to contact him using this e-mail address and see if it works. I hope this helps out.

Even if you are able to find an email address which is technically his, there is still the problem of whether or not he will have access to it. There isn't exactly a Starbucks on every other block, and if he isn't assigned to a major urban area, there might not even *be* Internet access. It's certainly worth a shot, but if he isn't already in contact with you via email, it's quite likely that he can't be.

How can that help your reason? An digital mail or letter to a soldier indoors the battlefield cant effect something, yet as quickly as you grant your protest to the white abode or the pentagon, you're in a position to effect people who undergo in recommendations.

Contact his family and see if they will give you his email address.

Unless he is a real old-timer like myself the firstname.lastname@us,.army.mil will not work unless he has an unusual or uncommon name/
