My office just hired a pregnant woman. I think I remember her saying she was 3 months along. You will probably have an easier time at a bigger company because they can more easily absorb something being gone for 3 months. Also they would be more worried about being sued for discrimination.
Unfortunately most for most jobs you have to wait at least 3 months to be eligible for benefits, so you might not be able to get paid maternity leave by the time you need it.

Yes they do.. the school where my kids go hired about 7 pregnanat ladies last year... and the funny thing is.. they are all gonna be out on maturnity leave in a row.... But yes, some companies will hire you.. they cant discriminate because your pregnant.. last real job I had.. I found out I was pregnant the day I got hired.

I was 4 months pregnant and hired for a job at a Child Care facility.
Legally they cannot ask if you're pregant. I went thru the entire interview and once the positon was offered to me i advised i was pregnant, this is my due date, i intend to work up until my due date providing i have no medical complications, and such.
They respected that i had a plan and stuck to it.
Good Luck!

they should but they don't always. it depends on what job you're wanting i guess. companies CAN NOT deny you employment if you're prego but they CAN say that you aren't qualified enough for the position or something like that. usually the training time for a new employee is about 90 days, so by the time you finish the trial period for most companies, you will be going on leave for your baby. some employers just don't want to have that expense of hiring and training, then not having the employee back at all or back in a couple of months.

its very hard to get a job while pregnant cause thay dont want to take the chance of being sued cause somethign happend to u or ur baby. and its hard to get a job if ur pregnant cause thay know u will need a few months off soon and its not a good way to start out a new job..
but thay can not descriminate becausae u are pregnant. thay can be sued for that.

Legally you can not be discriminated because of that... but they might try to find some other reasons not to hire you...
I was lucky to be hired at 4-months pregnant... But I was completely upfront and told them "Im pregnant, so tell me if this is going to be a problem so I dont waste your time and you dont waste mine"

well, they can't legally fire you for being pregnant, but i doubt they would hire someone who was going to be gone for 6 weeks after being there for only 4 months. they can legally NOT hire you. if the position is still available when you are ready to work after your baby is born, then they can't discriminate because you are a mom.

I did, at about the same time in my pregnancy. I was very honest, and the job didn't require much on my part. (answering phones, etc.) Make sure you're honest about what the time off that you'll need, but play up you're skills, etc.
