Is there any way to rent a boat at the San Leandro Marina?

Since there is no ferry service there, I just want to know if there is any way I can experience the bay if I move to west San Leandro.

I don't think you can rent from the actual Marina itself. It's website http://www.ci.san-leandro.ca.us/slmarina.html doesn't say anything about rentals.
