I'm trying to wait forever for the girl that I let go, because I now realize that I could never love anyone else like I loved her. Tell me your opinions on this, and if you don't think I'm a complete idiot, how can I make waiting forever easier?

the "perfect" girl is just an idea... we are all unique... ok here is what u do... find some one close by u like... go out with her without any assumptions or expections (very imp.) and learn to adapt yourself to your relation... and when things go wrong try your damnest to work it out... and when u do these u will 'know' the meaning of a perfect relationship... Yeah...!

You need to tell that girl what you just told us.
Find an opportunity to get her alone and let her know your feelings. Most women are emotionally driven in their relationships. If she is even remotely interested in you, she will react when she sees your true emotions. Hope for the best, but expect the worst. It might be over as far as she cares, so expect to move on if you get bad news.
One way or another, you need to find out if there's anything left between you two. If there isn't, then you need to move on.
