In considering which country would stand by us in the case of immense danger to the United States itself, I believe the countries that we can most rely on for assistance would be the countries of the European Union, specifically Great Britain, as well as Israel, Japan, Australia, and Canada.

Also, with a complete stabilization of the Iraqi government, economy, and military, I believe that Iraq proved to be a formidable ally to us in the Middle East as well.

As much as I'd love to say the UK, I really don't know. They are right now, and they are good to have as an ally but have any of you read the comments about America coming from over there? Seems to me the vast majority of brits don't support us at all and would just as soon see us go down in flames. I'd have to say Israel and Japan are our closest allies.

Its the UK, we are the only country to send troops on the ground everywhere you go.

To NONAME - Dont assume that the rantings of little anti american kids on Yahoo answers is in any way representative of the way Brits feel about the U.S.
