Oh you horror there are such things as fairy's in her little mind and imagination, let her come to her own conclusions on that fact, don't let her lose the child in herself until she is ready to do it herself, next you will be telling her that Christmas is for sissies, go back to been a nice mommy and let her make her own mind up.

just tell her the truth that is alwayss the best way to go. I am alway truthfully to both of my children (12 and 13) they have known about Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny when they were just little i taught then the really meaning of everything. and that is what I think that is what everyone should do is teach their children about the real meaning of Christmas and Easter why we celebrate it.

Don't think i'm crazy.. but how do we know? When my mom told me there was no tooth faerie, i was devastated... she asked me if i was sad... i plastered a smile on my face and responded "no". But in truth my heart felt like there was a little piece of it missing. So let her find out on her own. It's fun to pretend that these things exist (maybe they do!). Once she's 10-12 she'll realize... she'll see more aspects of the world... but just don't let that inner child die.

Don't! I believed in fairies as a child, and I came to it on my own that they didn't exist. Let her be a child for a while. She'll figure it out on her own.

why tell her that. my neice is 9 and she believe in fairies it fasinates her. her little imagination runs wild with the thought of it. we buy her all things fairy. her stories she tells, we just go along with it. and she loves it. let them find out for themselfs there is no harm in it. children grow up to fast these days. dont rush them out of child like things like this. let little girls think little girl things. that what i think anyway..

Does she know Santa isn't real yet? Tell her they're an idea, they stand for imagination and creativity, and that they're real in her heart. I believe in faeries, in that sense.

Why bother? And, are you sure? Let he make her own discoveries. Encourage her to research it - if someone - another child - tells her there are no fairies and she wants to know for sure herself.
