Yeah, when i was younger i thought pushing limits was the only exciting and worthwhile thing in the world. Mostly, my idea was to try everything (most things, not heroin) once and never get addicted. I guess i succeeded in doing this, but a lot of my buddies along the way didn't. When people warn you, "never do this even once, you'll get addicted, your life will be ruined, and then you will die a horrible, horrible, worthless, painful death," its usually an overstatement, most often declared by people that have never "dabbled" and like to moralize.
There is a lot of anti-drug propaganda which is just that: propaganda. However, the fear is based on some true stories and some real realities. You aren't invincible. Drugs and their appeal and intensity are a real thing, and they do affect your brain, some for the longterm. You are gambling with things you don't even understand the value of when you let loose and just "push it". When i did drugs, i always researched the drug ahead of time to try to make the gamble a little less idiotic (what is it? how does it work? what does it do longterm? what are experiences of others that have done this drug? What environment should i be in when i do it? How can i try to minimize the danger of it being filled with dangerous impurities? etc). A lot of answers can be found online but make sure you read critically--recognize the severity of what you are doing: putting a foreign chemical into your body.
I had friends that went through a social and emotional revolution when they discovered ecstasy and became the most outgoing and happy people i knew. Now, some years later, highschool is long over and they are swinging the other way--antisocial hermits that spend a lot of time at their computers and don't go out to meet friends. they are mostly bored and unimpressed with life. when you've gone to the intensity they have, the rest of the world seems dull in comparison.
I also had a friend that got so high on a multitude of things that she had to re-teach herself how to write english and perform basic math over the next 4 months.
So, yes its possible to push your experience and do drugs and come out happy and non-addicted and sane. But you should have a lot of self-knowledge and self-control to try to ensure that you won't get sucked into something longterm and damaging. And sometimes, drugs aren't even fun. Coming down can be bad enough that the high isn't even worth it (meth, cocaine). It is a gamble, so really understand the stakes.

No Hun! I hope you are not doing this? You will ruin your life. Drugs will hurt your organs and brain. Besides costing a fortune! Please don't mess up your body and life doing Drugs. Think! Life Is what we make it! Love yourself! When you do drugs you are flirting with death! Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact. Never follow the crowd! Find New friends! Good luck in making these changes in your life. Instead of doing drugs and spending idol time with other drug addicts. Take time and spend it with people who care about you. Take up a new hobby! Become genuinely interested in other people. Just doing little things for other people will cheer them up and you too. Go to college and become a nurse that helps in rehab for drug addicts. Your life is worth more than you know. It is the most Important thing in this world. Hugs Von!

No I've never felt the need to try drugs. And based on thing in todays era I would sugest that you don't try it. Search on the internet for drug abuse and see what happen to those people. Rotton.com has also got some pictures, but if you don't have a stomach for this then rather not go there

Only drugs I've tried are prescribed ones....alcohol and nicotine......what you're asking is how long is a piece of string...it affects us all differently!! For example a heroin addict can take more than someone trying it for the 1st time!
search on "rosanne holland" and see what happens!!! I do know what I'm talking about.

I did more than dabble I got hooked and it was hell getting off. I never wanted to get hooked. Read this and apply it to any drug:
My Name: "Is Meth"
I destroy homes, I tear families apart
Take your children, and that's just the start.
I'm more costly than diamonds, more precious than gold,
The sorrow I bring is a sight to behold.
If you need me, remember I'm easily found
I live all around you - in schools and in town.
I live with the rich; I live with the poor,
I live down the street, and maybe next door.
I'm made in a lab, but not like you think,
I can be made under the kitchen sink.
In your child's closet, and even in the woods,
If this scares you to death, well it certainly should.
I have many names, but there's one you know best,
I'm sure you've heard of me, my name is crystal meth.
My power is awesome; try me you'll see,
But if you do, you may never break free.
Just try me once and I might let you go,
But try me twice, and I'll own your soul.
When I possess you, you'll steal and you'll lie,
You do what you have to -- just to get high.
The crimes you'll commit for my narcotic charms
Will be worth the pleasure you'll feel in your nose, your lungs, and your ARMS.
You'll lie to your mother; you'll steal from your dad,
When you see their tears, you should feel sad.
But you'll forget your morals and how you were raised,
I'll be your conscience, I'll teach you my ways.
I take kids from parents, and parents from kids,
I turn people from God, and separate friends.
I'll take everything from you, your looks and your pride,
I'll be with you always -- right by your side.
You'll give up everything - your family, your home,
Your friends, your money, then you'll be alone.
I'll take and take, till you have nothing more to give,
When I'm finished with you, you'll be lucky to live.
If you try me be warned - this is no game,
If given the chance, I'll drive you insane.
I'll ravish your body, I'll control your mind,
I'll own you completely, your soul will be mine.
The nightmares I'll give you while lying in bed,
The voices you'll hear, from inside your head.
The sweats, the shakes, the visions you'll see,
I want you to know, these are all gifts from me.
But then it's too late, and you'll know in your heart,
That you are mine, and we shall not part.
You'll regret that you tried me, they always do,
But you came to me, not I to you.
You knew this would happen, many times you were told,
But you challenged my power, and chose to be bold.
You could have said no, and just walked away,
If you could live that day over, now what would you say?
I'll be your master, you will be my slave,
I'll even go with you, when you go to your grave.
Now that you have met me, what will you do?
Will you try me or not? It's all up to you.
I can bring you more misery than words can tell,
Come take my hand; let me lead you to hell.
