what are the symptoms of addiction.
I think I may be addicted to some prescription meds, not goin to say what they r!
But I dnot have pain but when I go to bed at night I feel like my skin is crawling all over...
and I have to take the meds to get it to stop! am I addicted!

My sister.....I'm no doctor but I think prayer would be great for you. Have you met the Lord Jesus Christ and asked Him into your heart. I don't know what your faith is and I'm not here to persuade you one way or the other, but JESUS loves you and He gave his life for the very problem that you are experiencing today. Ask JESUS to come into your heart and to forgive you for all of your sins and believe that He will do that and you will be saved. You will be saved from a life of damnation and addiction.

Dont listen to that guy who said what he said about "H".... Are you by chance taking a vitamin called: Niacin, by chance? Because, that very much would make your skin not only feel like its crawling but, very hot, as well.........Just dont take too much of anything, and take a day when no one is around, and you have nothing else to do but, taper-off......... I would do it one pill at a time.....Like one less, for about 3, days, then wait a couple days before you go down, another one, and see how thats making you feel, then.......If that doesn't work see your doctor, about changing pain meds, becuase you could very well be allergic, to these particular meds!! And unless, you dont mind feeling that way every night, I'd see your doctor,for a change, definately!!!

Sounds like it. You are going through withdrawal when you get those creepy crawlys. I know one type of drug that will do this--opiates. You won't die from withdrawals, it's just unconfortable. Everytime you take more it's going to get worse. Need to contact your doctor. There are things they can put you on to help get you through the withdrawals. One is called Clonodine. It's a blood pressure medication that is also prescribed for withdrawal. Keeps the creepy crawlys away. Withdrawal is usually over in 3-4 days.

Well, if you think you may have a problem you probably do. Have you looked up the signs of withdraw for the drug your on?
Also, there is the mental side of addiction. Not all addiction is physical.
Without knowing the drug, can't tell you if that is a symptom or not.

Possibly. Do you think about these meds. during the day? Do you watch the clock to see if it's time to take them? These are some definite signs of addiction. You may want to talk to your doc. about this.

go to a doctor and find out the cause of the crawling skin thing
maybe it is something like too little of some nutrient like potassium. so you can fix it instead of covering it up with meds

If you have to ask you are addicted. It can get worse. Live under a bridge sometime because the drug is more important that where you live. Then you really know you are addicted.
Talk to a "real" doctor, if you can find one.

Yeah u r. i was addicted to pills and i just recovered. felling ur skin crawl is a physcotic reaction to not having those meds. ur body is in withdrawl. trust me though, it gets worst.

It's my best guess that you are. Please get help immediately as you are in great danger of not getting your "good feeling" by getting crawlies to stop with your present drugs and you will move on to harsher drugs, prescription or street drugs. Please know street drugs and abuse of prescription drugs are one and the same and they both can kill. I have seen it happen. And have also seen the horror that this problem creates. GOOD LUCK

sounds like withdrawal to me. if you want it to stop, stop the meds and bite the bullet. in other words tough it out!
