Why don't illegal African immigrants get as much press as Mexican illegals?

There are many fewer African illegal aliens because they have to first find a way to enter the country legally. (They can't swim across the ocean and sneak across the border.) That means they have to come on a student or tourist visa and overstay. Only relatively (and the key word is RELATIVELY) wealthy people from Africa can manage that. Also, I have never heard an African illegal alien expressing any expectation that if they are caught they should not face the consequences, which are deportation and future denial of visas. The same goes for just about any other illegal alien who entered the country legally. They seem to understand that they are breaking the law and that they actually have no right to be in the country, so they don't kick and scream when they get caught. It's sort of like my students would say when they were called out for misbehaving, "My bad." I always respected them for that rather than the ones who would become indignant and act like I was the one in the wrong for expecting them to behave properly.

I don't think there is a lot of illegal African immigrants. As a Canadian I went to go get my fingerprints at the USCIS office, and all i saw was Africans but no Mexicans. Africans are the ones who are going through the immigration proccess.

Most Africans imigrants are not illegally here, they go through the motions to become American and build families here. There are a VERY small percentage that are here illegally. At least here in SoCal( where I live) illegal immigration and border safety is of a great concern for most.

Because it's assumed that Mexicans are the only ones crossing and taking jobs and it's assumed that they have an easier time than Africans because the border is so close. And African/European/Asian illegals often come through the Canadian borders, on ships, or lie on applications. (ie application for admittance because they're a refugee)

I know they are just as ILLEGAL as any other illegal alien and should be identified and deported. They are coming here in the hulls of cargo ships under worse conditions than during slave trade times. I don't here any of them complaining though. Although others come here much more expensive ways.

Probally because wesee less of them, out of the20 million illegals in the U.S., how many of them are Mexicans and how many of them are africans .

Mexicans seem to be the biggest part of theproblem, so it is only logical that they would be targeted more then any other race.

because mexican illegals are out there showing their as*. i don't see many other illegal nationalities being that stupid. and their are other nationalities. one other thing. hispanics make up %92 of the illegal population in the United States. it's hard to see the %8 that are not hispanic.

All I know is that illegal is illegal is illegal. If you were queen Elizabeth sneaking across the border you would still be illegal and breaking the law.

I don't know anything about african immigrants. I don't think I have seen them on tv crossing the boarder by the thousands, nor have I run into a business competitor using them for cheap labor to undercut my bids.
