Three years back a Christian preacher managed to convert a stupid friend of mine(he was stupid back then). What made him convinced was the statement of the preacher:"Are you sure that you will go to heaven if you die today? Take refuge now to our Lord Jesus and you are saved".
My friend cried and became a Christian and ask the preacher to say something to him. That preacher told him" Hallaluulluah!! Jesus
my Lord--you are now filled with Holy Spirit and He will always guide you and you are assured Salvation.
Three years later:
My friend pissed on the Bible yesterday. He is a voodo-pagan now.
Strange???

Sorry to inform you but stupid people come in all religions and creeds. Just because you are christian, that doesn't exempt you from being a stupid person or doing ignorant things.

I would have to say that the only people God says are fools are the ones who don't believe in their heart that He exists (See Psalms 14:1). Your friend had a non-life changing experience. Many people say they try God but in all reality they didn't. They had a side show experience. They never put their faith in what they heard. Nor did they sit down and read the very bible he pissed on yesterday. Why is he a voodo-pagan again? Did he investigate the claims that he heard the preacher make? Why don't people check out the facts of Christianity before they take a swan dive in the pool? Yes there are facts that you can investigate. Yes, It is great when we feel good and give our life to Christ. But you have to do the research. You wouldn't buy a car without test driving it, right. God gave him and you a brain, please use it. Check out the facts.

I am willing to bet that your little story is embellished quite a bit. To be totally honest I am not sure you even asked a question. Stupidity is a human trait not exclusive to any one region, country, or even religion. As a Christian, I am offended that you have chosen to tell such a warped and foolish story (and yes I believe that it is just that, a story). Here is a question for you, what have you done that has made you so at odds with Jesus Christ? Despite your belief in his divinity, I defy you to show me a word in the Christian Bible that Jesus uttered that is anything but a good piece of advice.

many cases in keeping with hour a question poser or responder in this class will declare that each and one and all Christians or all religious human beings generally are “dumb,” “ignorant,” “stupid,” or something of this nature. No substantiation will receive for this thought (information on the subject material of IQ tests, grade element averages, etc.). At terrific, as is the case right here, a single anecdote would be presented, and the poser will wish to lie to all of you into thinking it is going to be the comparable for each Christian. vast sweeping generalizations like this fail to evaluate the intelligence variety in any super team. The accusation, paradoxically, looks dumb, ignorant, or stupid itself. It finally ends up being little extra desirable than unsubstantiated call-calling. How then we ought to respond as quickly as this has surpassed off? If we proceed to be silent, the basic-minded between us might actual have confidence that each and one and all of a definite human beings team lack intelligence, so silence isn't an decision. If those outdoors the class of Christians or religious human beings might disavow incorrect and unnecessarily belittling assaults, then in keeping with possibility peer tension from their very own team might reason them to pursue maximum remarkable and powerful communicate element. If Christians specifically and spiritual human beings generally will with politeness articulate the incorrectness of this fallacy with out searching for retribution, then in keeping with possibility it is going to eliminate the perceived reward of the call-calling interior the 1st place. Brothers and sisters in Christ, look heavily at such accusations and ask for the Spirit’s foremost on whether this could be a style of “turn the different cheek” moments (Matt 5:39) or a style of “be arranged to make a protection to every person who asks you for a rationalization for the wish this is in you” moments (a million puppy 3:15). would God bless the useful communication in this class.

If he believes in voodoo, he still probably isn't that bright. Voodoo and Christianity are about equally credible, with the more wishy-washy strains of Christianity being *slightly* more believable.

Some people are just born followers, and some take time to get to beliefs they can hold onto. I strayed from my upbringing into a couple of different religions before rejecting religion altogether. I rejected the beliefs I was raised with a bit at a time, starting with the excusivist fundamentalism and finally ending with all theist beliefs altogether, culminating in full-fledged ontological naturalism (of sorts).

Stupid people are not limited to any religion.
But anyone who forsakes Jesus is a fool.
Charles Darwin was a Christian.
So was Descartes, the person who came up with the foundation of the scientific method, "I think therefor I am"
Sir Isaac Newton was a devote Christian.
Remember calculus, Laws of physics.

Let me assure you there are stupid people of other religions too. Why accuse christians for everything anyways? I find that very odd. Well the bible does say it will be hard:

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. Matthew 10:22

Apparantly your friend was never saved. He still is not. Why would you think all Christians are stupid because you and your friend don't understand the truth? That's kind of like blaming a stop sign because someone ran into you.

You must be a fanatic of some sort to keep asking all these questions about religion. What difference does it make to you if someone is into Cristianity or Islamic religion? Why not find a religion for yourself and practic it's teachings?
