depends on the upbringing....I was sexually abused as a child, and I turned out okay....I'm not abusing any kids...wouldn't dare. The only major problem I had was a few issues with trust and intimacy (sex), but when I finally met the right person, those issues began to dissolve over time...

For the person who was abused: low self-esteem, depression, self-mutilation, suicide attempts, bad choices in relationships, trouble in school - may even drop out. Females tend to have babies before they themselves grow up. Male victims tend to get in frequent trouble with the law. They need years of counseling to make sense of what happened to them as most victims believe the abuse was their fault. (Absolutely not! - but hard to change feelings).
The abuser, if caught, faces court, possible jail, seperation from his or her family, court - ordered sex offender treatment, and being listed on the sex offender registry. This last will affect this person's life in the areas of jobs, housing, future relationships (if the other person is smart enough to check the registry and the courts).

well if you rape someone you will get caught, then you will go to jail where you will be targeted by gangs of all color because they know what you're there for, some gangs actually will kill a sex offender to initiate someone into their gang, so someone who doesnt even know you will try to kill you to be in a gang, you will probably get sexually assulted in jail too, as that is something that gangs will do also, then if, and i mean if, you survive jail and actually get out you will have to register as a sex offender in every city you ever live in for the rest of your life, and that includes your picture on the wall of the police station, regular checks by police at your residence and if you move into a neighborhood all your neighbors get a notification that a sex offender is in their neighborhood, why would you ask such a dumb question???? and why would someone want to ruin their lives like that???? seriously i would take this question off here so you dont get reported or something.
