The reason I ask is because I want to lose a total of 20lbs(Recently lost 7lbs baby!) and I want to know if there's going to be a difference when people see me when I lose those 20lbs. Well, thanks to everyone who answers this question. Means a lot. :)

Yeah...when I said, "Recently lost 7lbs, baby!." I mean that like...as an expression, not that I actually had a baby, lol. So, sorry for the missunderstanding, you guys. :)

Lots of variables. If you are 300 pounds, they won't notice 20. If you are 125 pounds, you betcha 20 will be visible. It will then depend on the clothing you wear as well. Don't do it because of other people seeing you. If you want to lose 20 pounds for you, lose it. And, good luck.

People will notice if you gain 20 lbs, so of course they will notice if you loose 20 . Since you just had a baby, and I assume you are not a celeb or super model you probably feel like a deflated ballon right about now. I have a 22 month old and still feel like that. I lost all of my post baby weight in about three weeks and over the two years gained 10. I hate that my stomach is so flabby and now fatter than it has ever been. I am working out now and eating better i have lost 3 lbs and can tell the difference already in the way my clothes fit. I am 5'9" and carry my weight in my middle. It sounds that you are on the right track with your weightloss goals. good luck and enjoy that BABY!

I'll say yes, but have some thoughts.
First consider what about YOU, you most find attractive. Certainly pregnant woman can be. After the fact, losing is more about TONING than weight.
But again on a more personal and philosophical level,,, I've known woman who weighed more than they wanted,,or less, and their attractiveness wasn't strictly defined by weight, height, or if they happened to be carrying a baby.
Only you truly can know, and maybe even notice, what you percieve as YOUR IDEAL. Others may in fact say, "OH MY GOD you look soooooooooooo good, how much have you lost since?"
On the other side of that, you may never hear a single comment? Obsession with weight, and appearance are truly a sad part of our evolution. No one seems to worry about THEMSELVES, but more about what others think?
I wish you well, in pondering.

People that know you will really see the difference and so will you. I think 20pound loss will drop you down 2 dress sizes and anyone could see that difference.. good luck to you and love that sweet little baby you just had.

Yes, you can tell a significant difference. You will also drop about 2 sizes. Unless you are obese or a very large and tall person, then you might possibly not be able to tell.

It depends on your starting weight. The heavier you are, the less noticeable it will be. Congrats on already losing seven pounds!

10 pounds is usually about one pant size, so if being two sizes smaller in your jeans makes a difference...yes!
