You should continue to do what you are doing. I hope cardio is a part of your exercise regimen. I would also look at the rate you are losing weight ie, 5 lbs a week, 2 a day. Your body can plateau and then gradually lose weight again. I would also recommend eating 5 to 6 small meals throughout the day and definitely do not eat a meal just before going to bed. Keeping track of what you are doing is going to help you reach your goal...Keep it up!

It's best to work out at the start of your day, not at the end. It will kick start your metabolism and help you get going. After you work out, your body continues to burn calories for about the next 12 hours (give or take). Knowing this and that it gets your adrenaline amped up, I would imagine that you have trouble sleeping at night...
Getting a good night's rest is mandatory for a healthy and active lifestyle. Also, be sure that you're drinking plenty of water. Experts say to take your weight and divide it in half and that's the number of ounces of water you should drink daily. (example: If you weigh 120 lbs., you'd need to drink at least 60 ounces a day.) It also helps to avoid caffeine, carbonated beverages, and limit your sugar intake.
Instead of eating 3 regular sized meals, if you eat 6 small meals throughout the day, it will increase your metabolism. Eat lots of lean protein (like grilled chicken breast or fish).
As far as working out goes, just remember, lean muscle mass burns fat. It's better to focus on this than your actual weight, because muscle weighs more than fat...

I don't think you can lose 20 pounds in a month without doing something that would hurt you. What about working out in the morning? I heard that it gets your metabolism going all day. If you work out before bed, your metabolism gets going, but then you just go to sleep and don't reap the benefits as much.

if your trying to loose 20 in one month, that is really unhealthy, sorry to tell you that, ideal wieght loss is 1-2 lbs per week, 99.9% of people who lose large amounts of wiegh really fast end up gaining all back and then some. you are on the right track if you are eating healthy calories and working out, congradulations on what you've lost and keep up the good work!

dont expect too much, sounds like you are doing great! I admire what you are doing. 20 in a month isnt healthy I dont think but it can be done . JUts cut your calorie intake a little more (very little) and exercise a lot more! I dont know if you can lose that much safely but just increase exercise and decrease caloric intake and just dont give up!

Don't expect to lose 20 pounds in one month. The best way to lose weight is to do it slowly-- one to 1 1/2 pounds a week is best. That way, you're more likely to keep it off. Keep watching your intake, keep exercising. and don't get frustrated if you hit a plateau.

After trying for 10 years. I finally lost 150+ lbs (12 stone) and kept it off for over 4 years now. I've beaten 3 terminal diseases and I am now in amazing health, all around, not just thinner.
I did it without medicine, workouts, religion, going hungry or hating my food and without an operation or secret formula. I had tried counting: calories; carbs; fat; etc. I had tried jogging, swimming, weights, aerobics, crazy medicines and starving! But nothing ever worked well or lasted very long.
I also had Hypertension, High Blood Pressure, Chronic Asthma, vision and hearing loss. constant colds and ills, annual flu or pneumonia and more. I was approved for bypass surgery and taking usually between 16 and 20 pills a day.
take a look at my before and after pictures...
