Why has Israel not been nuked yet? Why is there no major effort to defeat them? The arabs (you know the ones) want Israel off the face of the planet, right? They hate them will all their hearts. They say nothing would be better or please Allah more than the destruction of Israel. So why don't they try?

Are the scared of retalitaion or US intervention? But this should be irrelevant since it goes back to dieing for the cause and getting their great rewards in the after-life. Yes Israel is a tough country militarily, but it would seem a coordianted effort could take them out.

So what's the deal? I by no means want Israel destroyed, nor do I want an escalation of war, but I gotta ask, do they only talk the talk and don't walk the walk? What is really stopping them from trying to destroy Israel?

Do the leaders, deep down, not believe the rhetoric they preach? Is the extremeist views just used by the leadership to control people and keep them in power and wealth?

I know Israel is powerful and has US backing, but I think the point I am trying to make is; why don't they even try when they beleive killing their enemy will bring them eternal blessings and such from Allah? They believe destroying Israel is the greatest thing they could accomplish. Even if they know they could/would lose, wouldn't they all be lining up to fight to please Allah? Not even using nukes, just standard forces.

I think for the most part you answered your own question. The part about dying for their belief those is not very realistic. The leaders pay other people to dye in their name. It's not what they want for themself.

If they could do it Iran and Syria would destroy Israel right now. Israel is just that strong. Israel is so much stronger than they appear now because they aren't fighting an all-out war. Fighting a war against guerillas and terrorists gets very complicated when you have a civilian population to worry about at the same time. If Israel gets pushed to the point of abandoning it's attempts to spare the innocent Lebonese you would see a much more effective campaign. Plus they know that the U.S. would stand with Israel...it's a fight they couldn't win. Some muslim countries aren't as extreme and are willing to live and let live with Israel. They see these terrorists as trouble makers for the region.

I believe it is a multi-fold answer. The Arab countries well remember the past wars with Israel and the defeats that came with them. The 6 day war of the late 60's, in which Israel defeated a coalition of armies, is still fresh in their minds. Plus, if a nuclear weapon is launched by an Arab country, I'm sure one would be returned by Israel and nobody wants that. Then, there is the possibility of a US intervention should Israel fall or begin to fall and no Arab country wants that, just ask Iraq.

Any country who uses a nuke should start digging their grave cause the world would be on them like no tomorrow.

Why does no one try to destroy Israel? Let's see...they're military is highly advanced with technology mostly from the US, and their soldiers have alot of experience after fighting in so many wars.

Whoever uses nuclear weapons pretty much gets the blame for starting World War 3. Nobody wins that one.

Why haven't they nuked Israel yet? Iran doesn't have enough nuclear weapons yet. It's only a matter of time.
