I don't recall GMC ever making a car. Trucks Only. I think they may have had a version of the El Camino but not positive.
As for mommy2savanna I owned a 1995 GMC Sierra and it had the original engine and transmission in it with 280,000 miles and ran like a top when I sold It to buy my 2003 Silverado.
P.S. Oh yeah I forgot I follow the factory recomended premium service to a T.

GM cars are very good quality, they will last over 200K miles if treated the right way. GMC never did make cars, they only make trucks. i'd check out the chevy aveo, and cobalt to suit your needs. also, maybe an impala v6 model or something. good luck.

Go look on eBay at all the Chevy cars for sale on there that have in excess of 100K on them? They still look good and they're inexpensive. They still get 30+ MPG and I'll be they still got a little life left. I have had good luck with GM cars. I reject some of these posters on here that slam GM when I guarantee they never owned one. You all can go to the Ford section and tell the truth for a change!

first to the person above who said gmc dont last my 99 savana has 250,000+ miles on it and still runs fine. and gmc only makes trucks and its always been like that, GM makes many cars through chevy,pontiac,buick,cadillac
and also hemi is a chrysler engine

GMCs are just rebadged Chevy trucks anyway, so look at Chevys. GM cars get very good gas mileage, and you can easliy get 150K out of one, if you take a little care of it.
