How important are looks to you?

I'm an "older", notice I said older not old{lol} , attractive and "look" much younger than I am "lady"!{ not bragging beieve me!}I work at looking the way I do,it's part of "who" I am!Ijust recently began a new relationship after 12 yrs, yes ladies 12 yrs, and looks did play an important part in the choosing of my partner as I'm sure mine did to him, but it shouldn't be the "only" thing that makes you decide on who you want to be with! I have a saying i tell my 30 yr old daughter. A "jerK" is a "jerk" whether he's a "good looking " jerk or not! Personality, honest,trust ,caring, neatness and a little bit of intellegence those are the things that "maturity makes you look at! Sometimes it's just that person you wouldn't give a second glance to because maybe they weren't attractive enough for you,might be the "one" you should have thought aboutSafe to say it's the "looks" first isn't it?????

Well I will be honest and say looks are 90% of importance. I fell for my current boyfriend because I was so deeply attracted to him in the first place. Lets face it unless you meet some one through a friend or you work with them, a persons appearance is the first sign of interest. Now if looks are the only sign of importance as well as money then you are way to shallow!!!

For some women, it is very important. Think about it this way, guys will think that women need to be gorgeous to date when they are younger. However once they really want to settle down with, they look more into personality. First impressions are important, and appearance is part on it, but then again do is a clever thought....

Not that important. I look for the whole package. Looks are low on the list. Just good enough to not mind looking at all the time. Smile and eyes. If those are nice, it can balance things out. Personality is key.

Not the most important thing, but I won't lie and say that aren't important. I'm not looking for a model level of hottness, just not a guy who completely let himself go. Personality, and things like that are more important.

not that important. A handsome man might be appealing, but he opens his mouth and he is suddenly a creep.
A man's personality and confidence can make him look really good.

In a way there is a thing called chemistry and no matter how handsome or not handsome a man is, if the chemistry isn't there no amount of good looks matter.

Looks are very important, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What looks good to you may be ugly to someone else. So as long as the person you're looking at finds you attractive and you find them attractive that's all that matters. I couldn't possibly be with someone that I didn't think was attractive. What would be the purpose of being with someone you think is unattractive??

No No No Looks are not totally important. If dint you guys have friends that were just friends and slowly it builds into an attraction. Looks didn't start it is is the personality that matters most. although if a person is horrible looking it is hard to find attraction.

Most of the time there needs to be an attraction. Not that a man needs to look like a model. With that said, I fell in love with a man over the Internet. :-) Because of my feelings, the initial attraction wasn't as important. 10 years later he is still the sexiest man I know.
