any help with trouble shooting so we can repair ourself would be appreciated,thanks.

Check for a bad Fuse First. Check your manual for location of fuses and which fuse goes to the windowmotor, easliy fixed. If that isnt it you probably have a bad Motor inside the door which is Tougher to fix but you can probably get a used one at the junk yard for about 25 dollars :-) Good Luck

Ford has had allot of problems with the motor itself, the brushes for some reason get corroded. if you know right where the motor is you can use a thin piece of metel , but just take the door panel off, becarful they hide screws and clips in odd places take your time . Then plug your switches back in and tap on the motor while pressing the swicth it should work. you can do this a few times and reassemble but might fail again so if you can replace it while you got it apart.

Most of the time it's the motor. Hold the button down on the window that doesn't work and slam that door a couple of times, it might start working. They usually get stuck, if its not the motor it could be the window regulator. That's if it is just one motor.
