If the guy has an exclusive relationship with another girl, I'd stay away out of respect for her. If they are casually dating, you can casually date him too. Be careful if you develop deeper feelings and want him to be exclusive with you, discuss your feelings with him and see if he will date you exclusively. If he doesn't share your feelings or just won't give up dating others, you may be best served by giving him up and moving on to other relationships that would be better for you and more respectful of you and your feelings.
