I got everything else down, now i gotta do like Americans do and blindly vote for a candidate based on a political party. Will that finish my assimilation into American culture?

Now, now, dear. I understand how you feel, but it's NOT a requirement -- just a habit (of all too many).
(Actually, you're SUPPOSED to vote for the one you think is "a nice guy" or "someone you'd want to have a beer with" -- this is what most Americans seem to do.)
