More information, please. It sounds as if you are speaking of employment in a place other than the US. If one seeks employment with a stateside common carrier, one need only visit the website of any railroad operating here.

I would advise against working for the Union Pacific. Input from other rails I have spoken with seems to indicate that employment with the BNSF is more desireable, more beneficial and more pleasurable.

If you are seeking employment in the US, you'll do better to refer to the craft of "locomotive engineer." There are no train drivers here, as trains are not "driven," but "ran."
