My friends are always bothering me about the guys I date. I date all diffrent types of guys form different ethnicities. The are constantly telling me that I should stay in my own race and that I'm being a traitor to black people. And they also called my sweetie a horrible slur and tried to drive him away from me.

Your “friends” have serious issues. If they can’t accept that you are open to dating other races and they are going to be rude and nasty about it, you have the right to put them in their place. You should not tolerate rude behavior. They are not being very respectful of you. They are being shallow, stupid and narrow-minded. If they are indeed your “friends”, you do need to set them straight and let them know that you will not have them treating your male friends that way. They are upset because you are more evolved than they are. What ever you do, don’t stop dating other races because of what they think.

Honey nobody hates a jerk more than I do I was born and raised in LA and I've seen more than my share, some people are just born haters and that I believe I can safely say is "Jealousey" Your obviosly a real cutie that is wanted by many so do your self a favor and go for what you know and want and put some distance between you and the haters and remember as long as your one color and he's another get use to it because there are still a lot of haters. I'm just an old hippie who knows better.

These people don't sound like 'friends' to me. If they really cared about you, they'd accept your choices (they aren't bad choices, after all, i mean it's not like you're doing anything so terrible). They don't respect you, they are being ignorant. This is 2006, and you can care about anyone you want. What about women who 'stay in their own race' but date horrible men who get them pregnant and then leave them - what kind of good are they doing for their race? Or their men for that matter? You are more enlightened because you can see past color and race. Good for you - dump these people from your life....with friends like these, who needs enemies, right?

Hate to say this but they dont sound much like true friends, tell them that you are old enough to look after yourself, you dont call their loved ones names, or make up reasons they shouldnt date them so they should respect your choices. Maybe ask them to join the two of you on a shopping trip somewhere and go the entire trip without insulting him, then they may get to see the side of him that you see.

It is your love life not theirs. You should go out with the guy who treats you the best, makes you laugh, and makes you feel the most comfortable regardless of race. We are living in 2006 not 1966. We all have soul mates out there somewhere and I do not think God determined that by the color of our skin. You should judge a person by the their heart which will always be red.

Well maye they're jealous cause they tired of dating in their race. They aren't the type of supportive friends that u need. Talk to them and if they don't change find some new friends that are supportive of u.

Those are not real friends...they are nothing but racists. Stay away from them and sorround yourself with better friends.

excuse me thats really racist of your friends, do you really want to associate yourself with people like that, and actually how can you call them friends, friends are people that want the best for you and happy for you when you do something that makes you look happy oth outside and in, they arent your friends at all or they would just be happy for you... dump them
or tell them hurtful their comments are and tell them to stop it or you'll cut all contact with them
