maybe he is just scared....one year at 17 is a REALLY long time. Most of your friends don't have that kind of relationship. Its scary. To think, at 17 being with this one person forever..way scary! You two have lots of time to be older, just be young and carefree now!! Believe me, I married my high school sweetheart at 19, I love him and always been happy...but its been a long road! Just be happy being young!

Well, my girlfriend and I just broke up after 2 years. (we're both 16) and after about 3 months i bought her a ring similar to the one he gave you it seems. And i suppose that he is just wondering how deep the conenction between you and he really is. While the ring might have cost a lot of money, it cost more heart and soul because that's a bond to be together for a long time. And perhaps he's questioning your comitment to the relationship, perhaps he may think you're just happy to get a ring and you dont really feel how he does about you? Guys are very insecure with serious girlfriends, so i would just suggest sitting him down and telling him how much you love him, then put your arms around his neck and give him a kiss on the cheek.

At the young age of 17, your feeling like maybe your ready for more of a commitment but I suggest you both date not only each other but others as well. If it's right between you two then let it happen in time. Don't rush into it. Remember that he too must feel the same passion you do or this relationship is destine to fail. Love hurts at times but it's a neccesary part of growing up. Communication is the key. Talk to him about what you feel without forcing any commitment. Let it be his choice. Your ready perhaps but he may not be. The ring says to me" Your a special person in my life" but don't rush it. Forever is a long time .

Please understand I mean no disrespect, but at 17 most boys walk around confused about life in general....I would ask him what the meaning of the ring is.....I dont know of any 17year old who can afford a white gold ring much less with a diamond. He abviouly has feelings for you but you need to ask him..afterall, only he knows whats going on in that headand heart of his. And if he doesnt I sure the heck cant tell you:o) Sorry, hope things work out for the best..

maybe instead of questioning the feelings of the relationship on his side..he was testing you to see if you thought was the real thing.....
maybe he thinks/knows it's real..and wanted to hear what you said about it.

don't automatically think it's bad...and that he wants to get out.

tell him to decrease back off or you will tell if he does not decrease back off in case you may get a large pocket knife to in basic terms scare him or have your pal help seize him interior the act. sturdy success
