As is demonstrated by the answers here...
It is because they know next to nothing about evolution. I demonstrated this a while back when I asked fundies to explain evolution correctly, then refute it. The results were quite amusing. Out of I believe 30 responders, one person actually knew what he was talking about. And his argument against it was basically, "Regardless, I still have faith"... :)

I just don't find the evidence to be significant enough yet. I think that in a search to rebel against organized religion, personal greed, or a serious search for answers not from the Bible, man has attempted to solve a puzzle that he plainly can't.
Everything prior to the time man was actually recording his history with an accurate clock is an assumption. Hmm, let's see - my state was an ocean beach approximately 500 - 550 million years ago... That's a vague guess and not verifiable. I ENJOY science in many forms, astronomy, geology and am fully aware with how we try to date things. But that doesn't mean my soul is set on it. I'm even a skeptic with the reliability of carbon dating.
Now, if you were to challenge me to say "Oh the Bible says the world is 6,000 years old but we know it is 4 billion...." I'd say prove either. We CAN'T prove the world is a certain age because there is no possible way to verify it is true. (I'm an auditor and look for corraborating evidence that has to be particular).
But at the same time, I'm not going to argue with the Bible or God about how the earth was formed. He told us what we needed to know and that's fine with me. There is a difference in trying to understand everything and understanding what you NEED to know. Simple, some things really aren't that important.
My last thought on evolution is that apart from "saying humans evolved from monkeys" it really seems to mirror the creation story, just much more stretched out. First came earth, then plants, birds, animals that walked the land, then man. Hmm. Perhaps Mr. Darwin was delusional and wanted to play a joke on the world. Success is such a human quality.

The problem with evolution is two very different concepts have been combined under one term.
Micro-Evolution - Evolution resulting from a succession of relatively small genetic variations that often cause the formation of new subspecies. (Dictionary.com)
Is commonly recognized and quite obvious, this where the very rational theory of Natural Selection comes into play. I have not problem with Micro-Evolution it illustrates the beautiful functionality God built into our world.
Macro-Evolution - Large-scale evolution occurring over geologic time that results in the formation of new taxonomic groups.
There is very Little evidence of Macro-Evolution, particularly to the extent that would explain the development of single celled organism into Humans. It's just to far fetched for me.
Some even go further and include the big-bang theory in the "Evolution" bucket I don't be live in this because there's no evidence in our world, that without the intervention of Life anything goes from a state of disorder to a state of order.
Also for the big bang theory to work an event had to happen, without time you can't have an event. So the big bang theory does not explain the origin of time. Creationism does.

regrettably, optimistic. i don't be responsive to how they'd administration the cognitive dissonance. you're no longer properly-knowledgeable with the aid of fact you do no longer understand that thought is the very terrific degree in technological know-how. this is now no longer a wager. it is ignorant to assert "in basic terms a thought". the familiar ancestor of all apes (alongside with people and chimps) is a monkey and which could be examined on your delight. It does now no longer matter upon the thought of evolution. this is a fact. Theories don't have data which terrific applies in arithmetic. Theories have data. there is not any data of a god of any style. Theories are falsifiable. this is a characteristic, now no longer a malicious software. If data is produced that shows an added thought or this one needs exchange, then we got here upon something and are grateful for it. faith does now no longer have that function. And it is requred. So shape via using a god heavily isn't waiting of being a thought. with the aid of fact the invention of mitochodrial DNA ancestry can be desperate via ability of genetic mapping and we don't decide for bones to verify the thought. Theories make predictions and can be utilized to advance different theories and open up surely new lines of inquiry. the belief of evolution is efficacious seeing this is works, now no longer unavoidably with the aid of fact it is fact. Evolution is fact besides the undeniable fact that standard determination is a thought. base line is that it fairly works. God as a data does not artwork for us and is not any longer rather an answer in that regard. Its an excuse to no longer think of roughly it.

The Bible says evolution didn't happen and we were created ( we follow Scripture like a manual 2 life, because it is :) Besides, there is more evidence 4 creation, its just well hidden. Scientists basically believe evolution because it doesn't include God Almighty (i think.)

I don''t believe in evolution because it plainly states in the book of Genesis that God created the heavens and the earth and the God created man and all animals not that God created an organism that would evolve in to apes and then into a human. It says that GOD CREATED MAN and EARTH. That is more than enough evidence for me to prove that evolution is false.

I believe God created every thing. I don't believe evolution because for evolution to work there would have to be more fossils of transitional forms than fully evolved forms, yet no one has ever found a true transitional form.

What do you mean enormous body of evidence to support it. There is no true evidence to support it at all. There is only what people tell you. You can't believe every fool, that would make you a fool.

From what I understand, people reject evolution because, in the Bible, God created man on the sixth day.

I learned all about Evolution last year in Biology. And let me tell you, the way they put it is persuasive, but if you really think about it, it just is impossible. We have such an amazing variety of plants and animals, all with different colors, textures, and behaviors. God's work is amazing. And telling me that all that came from nothing is just beyond me.
