yes I do. And Ill tell you Y. Some one told me once that if I serve God and do My best to be faithfull everyday,I will have lived a good life that I can be proud of and so can my kids. And if I die and there is no God... Well I still made the best out of my life. But if I dont walk with God and try to be a good friend to him,and I die and there is GOD lookin at me. I think he would be very disapointed. So I rather have a goood life and be a good person and Have faith that God can be proud of. I will make time for him like a good friend should. and he will make time for me.Plus going to church (a church you feel) Helps me with stress and problems and I do seem to find the right answers to my problems there.Cause God answers my prayers.I never really new what being a good person ment till I meet God. And that relationship took time. I am still not were I want to be with God, but I am on my way.

Serving God makes the difference.
Religion is only a limitation that we impose on God.
Religion always says God this or God that but none of them really know anything about the real God.
It is as though the religion had set its self up as the supreme earthly
authority on subjects that it knew absolutely nothing about. Matters of
spirit, and the idea of God.
Love and blessings

how do i say this? Hmmmmm....religion does not make a difference, the people behind the preaching of religions does. As you can see in your answers, there were a question -"which god?" I have come to an understanding that god is responsible for all religion and every religion existed in this earth comes from the one and only. People..now people are going to say that Christianity is the way, Islam is the way,Judaism is the way or even paganism is the way...heed my advice, listen carefully to what your heart tells you. you will know. go to a quiet place, close your eyes and just talk to your heart. you will know the answer...... i have found my answer and i am at peace.

I don't think religion makes any difference in your live if you serve god. If there is even a god I believe you can only turn him down he wouldn't turn you down. I think we are living in hell now!! Look at all these good people who have horrible lives, why would god let little kids die of horrible diseases?? And all the stories about god how do you know someone didn't just make it up?? And the bible was written by man not god!! So live your life the way you think is right, and if you do bad things I think god forgives anyone if there is one, there is no hell after life,it is now!!

Absolutely. The most obvious reason is that you learn what God expects from you and what you can expect from Him in terms of obedience, reward, acceptable behavior, forgiveness, sin, etc...
Other reasons include the opportunity to learn about human nature, the nature and personality of God, history, hope, faith, perseverance, morals, responsibility, etc.
I'm not sure it's possible to serve God without some training and education about who He is. The only way to get that is to study and apply our religion. Of course "religion" can mean many things to many different people. I'm referring to a belief system based on accepted and documented principals and precepts. For example, the Bible, the Koran, the Torah.
These documents, and others, hold the rules and regulations and history of our individual faiths.
For many of us religion and faith is the only reason we are still alive for all sorts of reasons. Unfortunately, religion and faith is also the reason people die everyday. A paradox I may never fully comprehend. Why do we kill others to prove our God is the most loving?
But this battle has been raging for thousands of years and I suspect it will only continue. We are not the first generation to see this. We can hope we'll be the last though.

"having a religion" and "serving God" are two different things. I'm baptist, but that does not make a difference. Serving God and following what He says in His word is what makes a difference in my life. And it truly has. Since I've accepted Christ I've become a whole different person, not perfect, but changed.

No, I don't think that having a religion makes a difference in my life. All religions differ somehow, but all send one message and we all pray and serve one God.

Religion is doing, doing, doing trying to gain salvation through your own efforts, Christianity says it is done. Serving God is a wonderful thing, but you must do it in truth. You cannot simply make up your own belief system. The only way to truly serve God and please Him is first receive Christ and His work on the cross. If you choose not to believe in Christ but seek to do it your own way or according to some religion, you are wasting your time.
Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
"And all our righteousnesses - The plural form is used to denote the deeds which they had performed - meaning that pollution extended to every individual thing of the numerous acts which they had done. The sense is, that all their prayers, sacrifices, alms, praises, were mingled with pollution, and were worthy only of deep detestation and abhorrence."
