As one who has defended our border under the colors of law, I can tell you without reservation that we do not need the minute-men type at our border. They are not a solution. They are a problem.
A few years ago a rancher hired an outfit called 'ranch rescue' to 'protect' his land from illegal immigrants. This outfit proposed to do what 'the Border Patrol could not or would not do.' They accosted some illegals, beat them up, spilled their water and took their shoes allegedly stealing some 300 dollars from them.
Two of the illegals sued ranch rescue and they were awarded in district court more than two million dollars. The newspapers said about this multi-million dollar award that, "The message we want to send them is: We don't need nor want your type protecting our border..."
As far as as being racist, that is a persecution mentality and a hate mentality. Racism and persecution/hate mentality go hand-in-hand spawning groups like the KKK, Black Panthers, MS-13, neo Nazis and White supremacists. The ranch rescue bunch should probably be grouped with these, and the minute-men type are not far behind.
We do not need them guarding our border. That is the Border Patrol's job. If the Border Patrol needs help, they will ask for it from the local authorities and the National Guard. If the minute-men are so eager to protect our country they need to join a fighting corp and go to Iraq.
Terrorists sophisticated enough to do any real harm will not swim across the most polluted river in North American where they will stick out like a sore thumb. They'll cross the Canadian Border where they are less conspicious, or they will come in on a 747 with visas and passport like the 911 pilots did.

There are hundreds of thousands of Chinese troops stationed in Mexico. The Mexicans have then stationed all over Mexico. When China starts a war with the USA, these Mexicans will help the Chinese fight against the USA. The Minutemen know this, and will fight to protect the USA. (Most Mexican -Americans are very patriotic and will help their adopted homeland, the USA. The Mexican government thinks it is siding with the correct side when it sides with China. Politics as usual.)

Obviously they aren't racist if many of them are hispanic too (like the heads of both the Utah and Illinois chapters). Just possibly 'racist' is the wrong word.

They are not racist, they are simply doing their job and keeping all of the illegals from coming over the border. How would you like it if every day of your life you had to chase down illegals in some cases on your own property! I don't think they would allow me to answer how I really feel about this.

the minuteman are not racist to anyone. read up on them, find out some info before you make assumptions. thank them someday. and if someone decides to make them leave the boarder you can thank that person who removed them for the next terrorist attack. that is what they are protecting you from

It isn't that they're racist. They're just a bunch of volunteers willing to do something about the illegal immigrant issue. I actually kind of admire them, they have the guts to do something instead of just sitting back and expecting the politicians to actually grow some guts and do something.

Because they are lame. you wanna do something good for your country? volunteer your time at a soup kitchen, go help build a home for a homeless person, help train a seeing eye dog. Leave the border protection to the border patrol.

They aren't and I'm tired of brain dead illegals and their braindead supporters saying that they are. I am very grateful for the Minutemen. They do a job the federal government refuses to do!!!
