Any ideas???

Question

Was pals with this girl (Girl 1) about a year ago, i asked her out, but she said no.

I'm still really good friends with her, and I talk to her quite a lot. I now have a girlfriend (Girl 2), and 'Girl 1' works in the office near mine. We both have an hour for lunch & to get a bagel, so she said we should meet up for half-hour or so for a chat.

Is it wrong to see a girl like this? I just feel like if someone my girlfriend knew saw us together, they might get the wrong idea, and I don't want my girlfriend to get jealous of someone who I TOTALLY only like as a friend, and don't have feelings for?

Should I just not see her?

If it is really something innocent, you should just let your girlfriend know that you are having lunch with a friend who is a female. Keep it in the open and it won't matter who sees you because your girlfriend already knows. If your girlfriend just wouldn't understand your having lunch with a friend who is a girl, then you have two choices. Stop seeing the friend for your girlfriends sake, or find a different girlfriend that doesn't mind that you have a female friend. It's pretty cut and dry....you basically have those two choices. This is my opinion and others may have differing opinions.

I guess it all depends on your relationship with your g/f. Me, i wouldn't really like it all that much. But you two may be different. but you do have to ask yourself to switch the situation around. Would you be ok with your g/f chatting away with someone she had liked long time ago and is now friends with? Also, does your g/f have any idea, because it sounds like she doesn't. If she doesn't I wouldn't keep it from her. Because if she does find out on her own somehow she might assume the worst. So either make sure she is ok with it, make sure you would be ok with her doing the same, or just not hang out with girl number one unless you are with your new girl.

Sounds like you might have feelings for her you don't want to admit or you wouldn't be so paranoid about it. Or maybe you have a super possesive/jealous girlfriend, neither one is a good situation. Never wait for someone to tell your girl on you. Be upfront and don't make it seem like you're hiding anything and she should be fine and if not then she thinks something is still there or is a psycho *****.

Well you should tell your girlfriend that you are friends with girl 1 and get her opinion on how she feels about it. If you and girl 1 are truly just friends you have nothing to hide and your girlfriend should respect that.

if u really and truley don't have feelings for her then it's ok. but if u do, then ur a bad boyfriend buddy! i would tell ur current girlfriend how u went or r goin to eat lunch with her though, to cover ur a$$ in case u r spotted. and so she knows that ur being honest and nothing is goin on or u wouldn't have told her. key word: TRUST! cause u know how people like to gossip!

You can see her as long as Girl 1 knows that your just friends and tell gurl2 about the friendship and explain so she wont feel uncomfortable.

I don't think you should stop being friends with her, but you should tell your girl about her before someone does get the wrong idea. If your girl loves you, she'll trust you.

i would go out for the chat and if one of your girlfriends friends see you two together just tell her that you were having a chat with one of your co-workers which you were.

just tell her that u is reall cool with is girl and that u and this girl have lunch together sometimes or let them meet so she would there is nothing there.
