After my 2001 Dodge Stratus car battery went dead and I got it fixed, my radio would not work. The lights on the bass and treble blink, but nothing else works. Someone said that usually you need a security code to reset your radio after the battery has went dead. Does anyone know anything about this?

I called the place I got the car and he said that in Stratus' it doesnt have a code. I would have to bring it in and let them look at it.

Yes, usually that code is on a card tucked into your owners manual. Otherwise, your dealer can get the number based on your VIN (vehicle identification number)

its usually in your owners manual if it was written down..

or you have to call your dodge dealer and ask them if they can pull the code by your VIN...

if not the radio has to be pulled out and its usually on the radio itself.

go to a dodge dealer..... your cheap mechanic can't help you. our dodge dealer gets 85 dollars an hour....pay up or sing to yourself.
