I am an Orthodontist and can probably answer your question. In my practice I charge the same for wither Invisalign or traditional braces. I personally charge $5200 (Sacramento,California) for an average case. While Invisalign can do wonders, it is not the cure all for all types of patients. Invisalign is not recommend for severe crowding and in patients with open bite. I also do not do Invisalign if the second molars are not erupted. Whatever you do, go to an Orthodontist but not a General dentist who dabbles with Invisalign. When you see an Orthodontist, also ask him about Orthoclear. It works just like Invisalign and I have much better results with that. Hope that helps.

the 1st theory that got here to my strategies upon analyzing this post became a million. WHY is college training cost is united states of america ridiculously high priced? WHY do colleges choose lots funds? a school isn't a business enterprise like Apple or Microsoft. My sister will graduate from her 4 years of school quickly and the completed coast of training pee paid throughout the time of those 4 years....is OMG too lots. the quantity is very almost as lots because of fact the U.S. national debt. 2. do colleges certainly choose a number of funds? 3. united states of america is at the instant dealing with an economic disaster; it is anticipated to be between the worst ever in U.S. historic previous. So unemployment is a becoming challenge, the economic equipment is getting spoiled and there are greater harmless electorate suffering under the poverty line. and that i'm no longer against the government however the federal government does not seem sorting it out nicely. i do no longer understand that lots with reference to the ecnonomy, so I discovered from my sister (she's a enterprise / economics considerable) and that i can tell that the country, the economic equipment and so on are all dealing with a disaster. Soo....i do no longer understand yet until the government grants to love help the unfavourable pay for faculty or something I strongly recommend that faculties do no longer strengthen training expenses. otherwise...united states of america will face an excellent worse academic disaster. Does the stuff I typed make sense? wish it does. And......the solid information is that the high priced training cost paid to an incredible college became certainly nicely worth it because of fact that my sister have been given an incredible interest 2 weeks in the previous graduation.

I disagree with "just me" that General Dentists "dabble" with Invisalign. Many have been doing Invisalign for years with great results. In fact, a general dentist may suggest more options than an orthodontist, many of whom tend to think only of moving teeth and may not consider alternatives.

Our office has gone through extensive certification and training to do Invisalign. We keep our fees well below what the orthodontists charge for traditional metal braces.

Most of our patients report little or no pain, and treatment is usually completed in less than one year.

Depends on who you go see. Sometimes, Invisalign isn't a option for severely crooked teeth. Best bet is to call around to different places and find out who is most familiar with the product, find out if your insurance covers it. But be warned, those clear retainers break, crack and scratch causing discomfort and are expensive to replace. Also, they tend to take a LOT longer than braces and are often more painful. Big deal, you might have to get braces, a lot of people have to get them, young and old alike. And there is no shame in putting forth the effort to look nice and take care of your teeth. People are too vain and care WAY too much about appearance

There is so much misinformation in these answers. First of all they do NOT cost more than traditional orthodontics. It is correct that only certain adjustments can be made with this. You cannot have an overbite and your correction must be one that can be accomplished in less than one year which brings us to the time question. They do NOT take longer, as stated it is for less than one year. Obviously the only individual that can give you an accurate price is an orthodontist that can evaluate your correction needs that lives in your geographic area therefore your economic area.

IT's more expensive than traditional braces but def. worth it.

It's in upwards of 3 to 5 thousand depending on how long your treatment is for.
