They each represent a more ancient, mythological archetype and there is absolutely no historical evidence that any were based on people that actually lived. Don't ask a Christian, they only know what their preachers tell them and refuse to see the Bible for what it is, a re-telling of several various allegories of many different religions.

My and all bibles says that the apostles were the real disciples of Jesus. The ones that used to walk with Him as He healed,
did miracles, and blessed people on his journey. After Jesus died, rose, and went to heaven. The apostles stayed on earth and did the same miracles and wonders and carried on His name, work, and faith.
