What would be the difference in myself growing up in a Christian county and finding the truth in Islam. It does not matter where you grow up it is if you truly study the Quran and Hadith you will see the truth.

But instead you will take the word of someone else probably a person you think knows more than you like the media your pastor or your parents. Please find the truth for yourself.

That's a very tough question for reasons other that the standard ones. See, I was raised around religious people who practiced quasi-Christianity but it was never anything I really identified with except as a very young child. That coupled with numerous tragedies and issues in my life shaped me so that I became an atheist. I experimented & dabbled with religions, including Islam, but nothing changed my mind until I was confronted with a crisis that humans couldn't answer. At that time I then experimented with God and checked out the various religions (again including Islam) until I discovered Biblical Christianity. There were finally answers to the questions I had and I rested on them, becoming a Christian.

I know that doesn't directly answer your question but I wanted to preface my current situation before I answered. The answer is simply I don't know. Would I face the same tragedies and crises I faced in my actual life? If so, I would say my decision would probably be the same as what it is. But if my life didn't include those issues I would say that I probably wouldn't have had to look at my spirituality as deeply. That would have probably made me like many others - I would not need God so I would choose one out of convenience.

Don’t' get me wrong. Jesus is Christ and that wouldn't be any different. Christianity is the only religion that makes sense to me today. Yes, there are questions & what appear to be contradictions, but that is the same with all spiritual beliefs. And the others never brought me any closer to answers than secular input did. But without a desperate need for God, I would guess I'd take the same path I think most people do - I would follow the beliefs of my parents without questioning them.

This will probably get both sides angry with me, but I'm just answering honestly to the best of my ability.

I would probably be Muslim and start seriously questioning my faith based upon what my brethren were doing around the world.

Actually, honestly, i would probaly remain muslim and just practice my own form of Islam. For example, I would stay true and believe that there are only five pillars of Islam, not six. I would be a moderate.

I would definitely convert to Christianity because that religion is
exactly what is called religion. God is not in there because those
people worship a man. God is a jealous God and will not allow
that. Besides I rather be on the side of the one who has to the
power to make the heavens, earth, waters, people, love, and is
coming back. Get on the right boat.

In Egypt you die for batting left handed. My belief is this..When you are raised with certain beliefs that is all you know.. I am great full to be born and raised in the good ol' us of...A.

By the way I was raised catholic, as i grew and was able to find my own religion, the one that lives inside my heart, i choose not to "regularly" attend mass. But my faith is based on the catholic religion, where we too were prosecuted and judged....

I am a Muslim and really don't see what is the importance of converting someone who is following what he blieve to be right.

I believe you posted this question to bring out hatred in the name of religion. You achieved your goal. God will punish you for this on judgement day.

Why do you have to choose? Can't you skip all that religious crap and get the hell out of there? For safety's sake and given the persecution the Coptics had, I think the smart move is stay Muslim.

What I wonder is how many Christians there really are in Egypt. I wager there is a lot more than people think.

I would convert, come what may. People have died for the sake of Christ.
It would be an honour to die for His cause.

Jesus, all the way!
