My fiance and I are confused about where to have our wedding, and we don't want to have it in a church (we're not really religious). Any suggestions?

Depends on where you live. My fiancee and I opted to skip on the church wedding, as well. Weather permitting, our wedding ceremony is going to be outside the reception hall-they have a gazebo, pond, fountain, and garden. Beautiful layout. As a bonus, we have somewhere to do pictures, without having to leave, and if the weather turns on us, we don't have to worry about getting tents.
You can do it in a restaurant, hotel, reception hall, outdoors-beach, orchards, farm.......it all depends on preference, and how much time and money you are willing to put into planning this. For example-there is a rustic farm nearby that does weddings, but you have to pay $2000 just to use it for the wedding-that isn't including food and decorations.
Congratulations on your engagement!

Country club, Art Gallery, Museum, State Park, Beach, On a Farm, In an Orchard, Flower Garden, Small Chapel, The place you're having the Reception. It wouldn't take much to put up chairs to form an aisle, add an arch or some other decoration. Use your imagination.

Good Luck!

It depends on your location, but a few summers ago I went to a wedding in at a lovely vineyard. The ceremony was in the vineyard (with the grapes) and the reception was held in a round barn on the property. It was really unique.

Depends on where you live, and where you want it to be. You can be married at a park, a hotel, anywhere you choose. Make sure you speak with non-denominational officiants and go from there.... we got married in Vegas and had everyone fly out there..
