The unborn child is merely a body and soul, so most likely it would/should be buried.
Humans are animals. As one quotation goes, "Man is not a rational animal, but an animal capable of reason." In Genesis 2:7, you read of the spirit being breathed into the nostrils of man, making him whole. To understand this; man is an animal, a physical being having a soul like any other animal. The soul is the energy source for the body. The "spirit" is what Genesis 1:26 is speaking about, that which makes us the rational beings we CAN be, or better said, made in the image of Creator. So, until the "spirit" is inhaled at birth, this unborn child is an incomplete human.
The following you may or may not chose to believe, but in my studies and experiences, those that have undergone past life regression have never recanted any memories of life in the womb, only life after birth.

Psalms 146 : 4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
There is no direct quote that says anything about an unborn child but it would go the same place that everybody goes, to the grave. The greek word for it is Hades or hell, the underworld or grave. Then as it says in Ecclesiastes 9 : 6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. So they are not taken to Heaven as most will tell you but go to the grave to wait for Jesus to return to take them there. See 1 Thess. 4:16-17. All will go to Heaven together when Jesus comes, not like a dripping faucet as most tell you.

A wonderful scripture that explains God's feelings for the unborn is found at Exodus 21:22. Here it explains that if an unborn child is killed because the mother is hurt during a fight between men, the penalty to the man is death.
The unborn child has as much worth as any other human being.

We know that we are in need of a Savior since our conception..
Psalm 51: 5 Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
We know that the Holy Spirit creates faith through the means of grace which are the Word and the sacraments.
Romans 10:17Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.
We know that unborn children can hear from the womb and faith comes from hearing the Word of God, so if faith was created in the unborn childs heart, then he will be saved.
John 3:16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
A good example of how an unborn child can have faith is found in Luke 1:26-45

I don't believe this is specifically mentioned. It does in one place, probably Psalms, state that God knows us in the womb. The Catholic Church many years ago dealt with certain issues caused by such questions, by preaching that innocent babies (and thus probably your unborn baby) would go to a special place called limbo, until the end times. As I remember from my days as a Catholic, it is believed not to be as good as heaven, but a place of comfort for the innocent who never had the opportunity to sin.
There isn't much Biblical support for it, but it does give a certain comfort to women who have miscarriages to think they someday will see their baby again.
Many a Protestant missionary in the Third World has "gone home to be with the father", before his time, and I would say rightly so, because they tell grieving parents of deceased children their little one went to Hell since he was not saved. So, I can see why the Catholic Church came up with the concept of limbo for the innocents.

The bible was written during a very uneducated time in human history and the idea of the womb may have been too much. If a baby dies in the womb, remember, "it was God's will" to abort that precious gift of life in his own ways. Praise allah it won't go to stem cells though!!!

The Bible does not make a reference to this issue as far as I know. What the Catholic Catechism does say is this. Until a child reaches the age of reason, he CANNOT sin, so if he dies anytime from exiting the womb until his 7th birthday, he cannot sin, except for original sin , which all of us inherit from Adam & Eve. In the case you cited, since there was no time for a formal baptism to cleanse him from original sin, the child goes to heaven automatically.

It is written that God knows us before we are conceived... (Jeremiah 1:4-5). I knit you together in your mother's womb... (Psalms 139:13). And brought you forth on the day you were born...(Psalms 71:6).
The unborn child goes to heaven to be with their Heavenly Father.
This is not God's purpose that they go to heaven so early, so they get a special martyrs crown because it wasn't their sin. It was the sin of national judges who make it legal & whoever had a part in that & whoever decided to abort the unborn child.

I don't believe there is a bible verse on unborn children and what happens to their souls. Aside from speculation, I think that you will not get the correct answer to your question until you are face to face with God.
