he is a superb racehorse.what you have to remember is he is only put in to selected races, especially ones with small fields.the likes of rock of gibralter were entered into much more competitive races and it won 7 group 1 races.my favourite flat horse was smokin beau,i know its irrelevant to the question but i like to share my views

He certainly must be up there in the top 5 of the last 5 years, along with Ouija Board, Soviet Song, Rock of Gibraltar and Shirroco.

It will be interesting to see how well he is received at stud. His father Montjeu was an equally good racehorse but was not overly popular at stud to begin with as breeding from middle distance horses just isn't fashionable at the moment - most people tend to send their mares to horses that raced up to a mile.

Now that Montjeu has proved himself to be a sire of top class horses from average mares his two year olds of 2009 (conceived this year) should be awesome due to the quality mares that he will have attracted.

Without a doubt he is up there, but i would say rock of gibraltar or something, however if not for there injuries, and subsequent retirements, Dubawi, Shamardal, Footstepsinthesand, would all be considered too!
I think Discreet Cat will probably turn out to be the best horse in the world!

Possibly but then I'm afraid that's not saying a great deal. His official ratings do not distinguish him from much. Maybe the best is yet to come.

I think Sir Percy and Sergeant Cecil have had a good season.
