Yes...I know many misguided Christians. I'm the last person I'd ever consider to being close to perfect...so it's (almost) refreshing when I bump into a Christian who has gone off the deep end.
Christianity is a big religion with a lot of different beliefs, traditions, and practices. There's no one person on Earth who can possibly be 100% in tune with its teachings. There's plenty for everybody.
The problem arises when you bump into another Christian who's convinced HE's mastered Christianity and won't relent until you behave and believe EXACTLY as he does.
For example, I'm Catholic. I don't pray the rosary very often. I have nothing against it...in fact I think it's a very good tradition. But it's not for me.
I wish I had a nickel for every time another Christian has tried to convince me that I'm going to burn in Hell because I pray the rosary. Or worse...when a Catholic friend asks me to join him or her in a rosary and I decline...and I get an evil stare like I'm Martin Luther himself!

assuming "avt" means "act" . . .
Sure, I see supposed 'christians' that preach hate, discrimination, bigotry and therefore violence against gay people all the time. Their words, thoughts, and actions are certainly against their teachings. WWJD?
And the 'christians' who say, "love the sinner, hate the sin" are hypocrites who really hate both.
Whatever happened to "judge not . . . ." as well?
Fortunately, these un-christian people are in the minority - I have met many true Christians who live out their creed. Unfortunately, the un-christians are a loud minority here at Yahoo Answers!

Unfortunately, I don't know how a Christian is supposed to act. Most of the Christians I have come across are judgmental, homophobic, bigoted zombies. But I'm sure that's not how they are supposed to be. Or is it? That's actually a good question! I think I'll post it! Blessed be.

I know lots of people who claim to be christian & aren't anywhere near being one. Yes I really don't like hypocrites...the ones who say they are christian (or any religion for that matter) and go to church for show & then go all week & do whatever they feel like doing. Then they justify it by saying, it's okay I go to church on Sun. In other words, they think doing whatever they want to during the week is okay as long as they show up in church on Sun. & get forgiven. Personally, I believe that God is Love & can be worshipped anywhere...not just in a building.

half the people that claim to be christian dont show relevant Christ likeness if we were to review all that you did in the last two weeks in light and darkness would we see a true christian, a christian Means 'To be Christ like' and we all fall short there but lucky for us GOD is merciful he knows all things and loves us just the same. I try my best to be Christ like in all areas of my life after all i am a representation of my Savior unfortunately I'm only human and fall of the glory of GOD .

I have never met a person who lived by all the Christian standards and rules. I suppose this means that I have never met a real Christian.

Yes, it does. As it does with any religion.
Doesn't it get on your nerves when Christians are attacked by others all the time???

I know a lot of people who claim to be "Christians." It's not clear to me how Christians are supposed to act. The Bible is so contradictory.
The way anyone acts doesn't bother me.
What bothers me is when people judge others.

claims are one thing - watching and conversing with those who try to be disciple of christ are wanting to serve the other, help in times of need and are an encouragement. it is easy to claim god and be a poor representative. god doesn't ask a person to become perfect over night, but asks that you continually seek who christ is and emulate him. as erwin mcmanus said - the biggest enemy to the movement of jesus christ is christianity....
