I don't know if I want to change myself. I'm not ready for a relationship, I don't know if I'm ready to be in a relationship, so I become so cocky and so rude to girls so I can aviod relationships. Help me.

if your not ready for a relationship fair enough, but you dont have to act like an absolute plonker to girls to avoid them, just get long with girls as you would with your lad mates, dont be so cocky cause you'll get yourself a reputation and nobody will want to know you. just be yourself, obviously not the cocky side cause everybody hates cocky rude people, just make it clear to people your not ready for a relationship and be kind and funny.. good luck

but why change? If that is the way u are then be it....and if she don't like you then oh well..life goes on...
there is a lady that well like you for that....and y u gotta be sooo cocky? I don't know how old you are, but give yourself time, girls are hard to be in a relationship with, but it's worth it when you're willing to try. The simple answer is easy, let yourself be more polite, you don't necessarily have to be nice because you want a girl to like you, just be polite, start by saying please and thank you, hold doors for people, be friendly! you don't have to be rude just to avoid relationships, no one gets anywhere by being rude (unless you're already at the top, then socially, it's just fine). When you're ready to get your act together because you meet a girl you want in your life, then you will. Ultimately, what do you get out of by being rude to ppl? Having good self-esteem is great, but acting like your all that isn't the way to go. One day you're going to meet a girl that you feel you can't live without and she is going to treat you just like you've treated all these other girls. Life's a b*tch isn't it?

You don't have to be that way. I'm not looking for a relationship either but I'm not cocky with people. Do you think people will just "fall in love with you" if you are just a pleasant person?

Well, if you know that, then don't be involved with anyone. Save someone the trouble of trying to put up with you. My bf is cocky, too. I don't like it, but I've never been with anyone like him before. I love the way he always thinks he's perfect. Maybe one day you will run into someone that can love you for you, and you don't have to change. You should never change for anyone else ever.

if you are aren't ready for a relationship then girls should respect you for that..and as far as you being cocky that's just part of your personality quite frankly i don't think any girl that can't appreciate you for who you are then screw them..if i had a cocky guy like you i'd have it made...don't worry about the girls...

Well if you're not ready for relationships, then by no means should you force yourself. You don't have to necessarily be rude to girls, but just let them know that you're not interested in having one.

OK... seriously, If you're not ready then you're not ready. No reason to pop off about it. Just politely say 'I'm not looking at this time' or 'No thanks, I'm not ready for a relationship'. Honesty is the best policy.
