Are they so naive as to think that is the way to heaven or to convert non-believers?
Is it THAT hard to live life with compassion, patience, humility and a sense of justice? Dost thou NEED to condemn and judge others to be christian? Is the need to feel superior over others taught in churches?
Many answers from alledged christians I see on here, but rarely doth they give sound advice or consort, instead, they condemn, judge and make known their thought that they are better than others.
I have met more non-believers that practice good than nearly all those that claim to have found Christ, here or anywhere else.
I be not a christian, but if I doth come across a bad or corrupted person, I treat them with compassion and understanding, as from my experience, this has been always successful in fettering their attitudes. Why do I not see christians doing this same 'christian' duty? Can they TRULY be as unenlightened as their facades seem to portray?

If thou dost need an example, simply pose a question that COULD be interpreted as an attack on christianity.

IN Atlanta, non-believers do not always have to live up to a set of ideals such as believers do, hence they have the freedom to judge, should they so choose. Ye have not. Ye gave up that right to follow thy beliefs.

My sword is sheathed my gentle Lady. 'Tis but my tongue that has a sharpness to it, methinks. Sharp to those that have guilt perhaps, as my question be not loaded, but a simple statement made of observation.
Verily we are but human. Shouldst thy brothers and sisters that call themselves christians be wise to remember that, I pray, when conducting matters of social interaction!

Why do non-believers feel the need to constantly criticize and attack Christians? Your comments ARE an attack and if you cannot show the same "compassion, patience, humility and sense of justice" to Christians as you do to others, then YOU are not practicising what YOU are preaching.
Christians are not perfect and each is at a difference place on their journey to become more like Jesus Christ. A Christian would not be a Christian if they did not give advice that was in keeping with Christian teachings. If you do not like or cannot accept the Christian view on some issues, then that is your problem and shows your own intolerance for people of religious faith. We are not required to conform to worldly ideas, beliefs or trendy pc thoughts on issues. We are to hold true to Christ's teachings as we understand them.

Unfortunately, you are only mass generalizing based on America. Christians in other cultures are so kind as to give their very lives because unbelievers will kill them if they do not recant. This is well-documented. Also, it is our job to convert people. Or at least attempt. Beyond even this, I have discovered that everyone on here already has their own opinions; rare is it that an actual inquiry with no ulterior motive is made, on either side. Atheists are just as close-minded as Christians, maybe moreso. Same with agnostics. They've already decided. So take it easy; I can find faults with any side.

Many people missrepresent Christianity, and yes, some preachers do preach a message that might make some people feel like they are somehow worth more just becasue they are saved. Christians arn't perfect we have nothing to boast of or feel superior about. At best we are SINNERS saved by grace.
All we can often times is our pitiful best.

Ahh, Sir Knight, truly, tis a veritable shame that thou dost allow certain members of the church to speak in the stead of Christ Himself. For, surely, thou dost know that all be human, and thus, all have faults? Dost thou not understand, Sir Knight, that pride is the most common, and also the most deadly of human frailties?
I am pleased, Sir Knight, to know that when thou dost meet bad or corrupted people, that thou dost treat them with kindness and compassion. Whilst thou think upon these things, and comfort thine heart, I would that thou shouldst also put up thy sword, and not wave it in this poor Christian lady's face. I do apologize, Sir Knight, in that thou hast found fault in me, and do hope that thou shouldst avail thyself of the true knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who has also seen my fault, and thine, and Who, in His great love and compassion, hast forgiven us both freely.

I'm sorry that you feel that way. Sadly some Christians of all faiths do just that. But there are always those who really love and care, and there are those who will not bombard you with their
beliefs but will pray that God will find a way to your heart. But one
last thing, the Bible does say go out and preach the word to all.
I ask your forgiveness for those phonies and pray that God may reveal to you His truth and His love for you.

I think the ones who are judgmental and condemn others are from fundamentalist churches. At least in my experience that's where the ones like that I've encountered have been from. Many before me have said this, but wouldn't it be great if everyone actually practiced what their religion preached.

I will not refute. Just make a statement. Christians must answer to people who say silly and immature things in hopes that they may become more aware of the fact that they are.
Good luck with your life. You make the choices and their are consequences for your choices whether now or later.

Perhaps because those of us who do not respond are doing just that - treating you with compassion and understanding by not forcing ourselves on you.
Perhaps you could learn from this yourself, and not foist your non-belief on everyone else in a condescending manner?
That'd be nice.
