Whiskey in most cases will probably get you drunk faster, since it is often more than 80 proof, whereas gin tends to hover between 80 and 100. It all depends of course on how much you drink and how fast.
Given equal amounts of both liquors of equal potency, neither should get you drunk any faster than the other.

Whiskey - Chivas Regal with Plain Soda
or Bombay Sapphire Gin with Tonic Water..
Whiskey gets you high faster though.

they'll both get you drunk and the taste is up to you. it also depends what you want to mix with. generally, gin you'll mix with tonic. whiskey with coke or ginger ale.
not that either is "great" for you, but gin is supposed to be the worse alcohol for the liver.

If you're drinking to get drunk, you might want to rethink your relationship with alcohol. It's a social beverage, but maybe you need to find that out for yourself. Cheers.

I like gin and tonic, with a lime please. If you drink enough maybe two drinks yes you will get drink.
