Depends on how they Commission.

OCS is similar to boot camp, and yet not. Instead of being yelled at by senior enlisted Sailors, they are yelled at by senior enlisted Marines. more emphasis on leadership and administration and slightly less physical. But only slightly.

DIRCOM candidates attend "knife and fork school".. a truncated version of OCS where they learn about how the Navy works but there is less emphasis on the physical aspect of OCS. DIRCOM candidates are typically professionals such as Medical personnel, and Lawyers.

Then of course, you have ROTC and the Academy..4 years of college coupled with learning all about the Navy way of life.
