If you know anything about the Bible, you would know that Adam and Eve were not the first to screw-up. The first screw-up happened about 6 million years before Adam. Lucifer screwed up. That's why God started over with the Human Age of this world.

Humans have the freedom of choice, thats what God gave Adam and Eve when they were created. There was Lucifer before Adam and Eve. They ate off of the devils tree, and he won. Jesus was a wager put on earth by God that if he did not sin, we were saved.

He did not want to make us like robots. He gave Adam and Eve the choice of following the rules or take the consequences. God always has everything planned out, so before he created them, he had a Plan B. He gives us free will.

Or just hit the reset button.
The problem is was never a game and there was never a designer. A designer was written into the story to explain things that were already occuring so the script had to fit with the current state of affairs.

God could have done that, but Adam and Eve's sin didn't surprise Him. Jesus dying on the cross was His plan from the very beginning.

Because god isn't all loving or he isn't all powerful? You know, god's supposed to be omniscient, so the entire thing couldn't have been a mistake, cause he knew it was gonna happen and being all powerful he could have stopped it.
So, in short, god wanted us to eat the apple and be all sinful and boogie on down with the snakes. Word up.

This is an interesting issue actually, because I was going to say that if he was real, he would know what would happen, but since he gets all disappointed... You can assume that if there is a god, he is not all-powerful, and might not be able to change what has happened.
He can't meddle in material things, because he is (supposedly) a spirit.

He created Adam, Eve, *and* the Snake for a reason.
Heaven gets boring.
He knew exactly what he was doing.
Even God like's a good story.

Because God loves all of his creations. He didn't make creation for His own satisfaction, because then He wouldn't be perfect. He made us because He knew we would like it. And He punished and sends His Son so that we can share in the life He made for us, which is eternally better than any we could have made.

As a serious theologian...I think that's actually pretty funny.
But, yes, I agree with the one who spoke before me. It's about free will, and the assumption is that God knew what was coming before it happened anyway. He's read the last chapter.
Funny, though. If He does exist, God gave you a sense of humor. Keep questioning.
