A Battlefield is contrary, isn't it?
It's like those kindergarten pictures of: "Which one doesn't belong."

Garden ... Paradise ... Battlefield. Tough question, huh?

Not so tough, I think.

Garden of Eden = perfect relationship with God

Paradise = perfect relationship with God

Battlefields = perfect relationship with ourselves

not so tough really. Eden was a paradise and Heaven will be a paradise but what about in between? That is where the battlefields are as people fight among one another to prove they are right, just plain old pride, the thing that got the whole thing started.

Life started in the Garden of Eden. Then Adam & Eve sinned and that's where all the evil started which caused fighting which caused battlefields. Not everyone will end up in paradise--that's only for the saved through Christ. For the rest of the ones who don't believe in Christ, you're destination is hell for eternity.

No, not tough at all. It all started when Adam and Eve ate the fruit that God specifically told them not to touch. There has been killing ever since. Cain and Abel, and right on through the Old Testament, right on through to Revelations. There is a line of blood through the entire Bible.

not really a tough question....

we WERE meant to stay in the garden (earthly paradise), but got kicked out for bad behavior... we can spend eternity in paradise (heavenly version) if we start acting right again....

that is where the battlefield comes in...the devil doesn't want us to make it back to what we were created for.

The battle field is in the mind. We, those whom love God, are fighting those that don't believe. This is a battle for souls. Think in a deeper level.

My thought is that during the course of life, we are handed challenges and obstacles. We are a product of our dealings with these two and aren't ever given anything that we cannot handle. Ever hear, "what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger"? Our god (if you are Catholic) is a very judgemental God who suffered and died for us. Makes sense?
